💖Author's POV💖

He had been feeling this way for a long time but he had always pushed it aside... he was too afraid to admit it.... even to himself.....

But now standing here with Nandini and after seeing someone else confess to her he couldn't hold it in anymore and finally said with his voice soft yet firm....

Manik : I have been in love with u for a long time...

Manik continued with his voice shaky....

Manik : I didn't know how to tell u.... I was just wandering around without knowing how to tell u... I was really scared that saying this might break our beautiful bond.... I didn't want to ruin our bond at any cost... But seeing him with u... I couldn't take it anymore.....

Nandini stood frozen in her place... She felt her breath catch in her throat.... She had always known that her feelings for Manik were special but hearing him say the words out loud made her heart race....

She felt her heart flutter in a way she couldn't explain.....

For a few moments neither of them spoke.... then Nandini with her eyes filled with tears but not of sadness but of overwhelming happiness and asked with her voice trembling....

Nandini : u... u love me...

Manik nodded his head and his eyes never leaving hers replied....

Manik : Yes... I do... not just now or any time recently but I have been loving u since we were kids.... Before I even understood what love was I was loving u... but I didn't realize it thenm... Now I do..... I can't stand the thought of someone else being with u because... because I want to be the one by ur side......

Finally Nandini took a step closer to Manik and her eyes softening whispered her voice barely audible....

Nandini :  I... I think I have been in love with u too...

Hearing her Manik's eyes widened in surprise.... He had been so scared that she wouldn't feel the same way.... But now hearing her say those words he felt a rush of joy he had never felt before.....

Without thinking much Manik reached out and pulled Nandini into a tight hug....

Nandini again stood froze for a moment surprised at his action but then wrapped her arms around him and hugged him back making him pull her even more close to himself....

He could feel her heart beating against his chest and for a moment everything felt perfect.....

Nandini who felt him tightening the hug buried her face in his chest.... She felt safe in his arms like she always had.....

But now there was something more.... She felt loved and it filled her with a warmth she couldn't describe.....

She had always loved Manik even before she understood what love really meant.... And now standing here in his arms she knew that she had found the person she wanted to be with......
