delilah's second year

Delilah sat next to beat-up Ron. Hearing what happened from Professor McGonagall, Ginny told her where both their brothers were, in a mess yet again. Lilah rushed to the hospital wing; she felt like she kept seeing her brother in the white bed.

Ginny was serving detention with Madame Hooch for whacking a fellow Gryffindor student on the head with a broomstick at the quidditch pitch, so she had yet to join Lilah. Misery loves company, as Gin likes to say.

Ginny sent a hovering paper plane to Lilah, who was studying for her charms exam in her favorite spot in the library. Of course, Delilah gathered her things as quickly as possible to see what had happened to Harry and his friends.

Delilah was lost in thought as Dumbledore went on a tangent about time. It was late, being midnight, and Delilah really should be sound asleep. "By the way, when in doubt, I always find retracing my steps would be a wise place to begin... Good Luck."

Dumbledore backed out of the room. "Lilah, get over here." Hermoine hissed.

Delilah immediately obeyed her friend. She always made sure to listen to Hermoine, the most brilliant girl in the school, who was always right. Hermoine wrapped a gold chain around Harry and Delilah's necks, making them step closer together.

Hermoine pulled out a small pendant that spun. Everything around them became a dizzy blur, and random sounds mixed. "What happened? Where is Ron?" Harry immediately asked.

Delilah put her hand on her head, a little rocked by the spinning. Hermoine ignored the Potters, "Seven thirty. Where were we at seven-thirty?" She whipped her head to Harry.

"Huh? Dunno... going to Hagrids." Harry answered.

Hermione grabs Harry, who pulls his sister and slams through the door. They both are utterly confused; Delilah just wants to know what is going on.

She had no idea why Ron and Harry were even hurt. There was a murderer on the loose, and the two of them didn't even seem to care. They could be killed.

Delilah had a heart episode in the middle of her studies, so she knew something was up. This one made her pass out with her head smacking down on the table. The pain was so bad her body just did what it could save. It was anytime her brother was in any trouble, her heart had an attack.

Harry pestered Hermoine enough to get an answer finally. "This is a Time-Turner. McGonagall gave it to me during my first term. This is how I've been getting to my lessons all year." She looked between the siblings.

"You're brilliant, Hermoine," Delilah complimented. Hermoine smiled at Delilah. She knew that Harry's sister was always one to give the nicest compliments. After all, she was a Hufflepuff.

They all turned their attention to the fight by the sundial garden's rocks.

Smack. Hermoine punched the blonde boy square in the face. Lilah's eyes widened. She wished Hermoine had done the same thing to Malfoy's friend Goyle.

Goyle was a creep she kept seeing around the school. Thinking about him made Lilah's stomach turn. He kept pushing her in the halls, even once pinching her when she was walking up to divination class. She never did anything to him that could explain his cruel behavior.

"Nice punch," Harry said in admiration.

Delilah nodded in agreement. "Hurry, Malfoy is coming." Hermoine dragged the Potters down under the bridge.

Delilah just followed the two as they retraced their steps from earlier in the day. They were able to save poor Buckbeak from dying.
