CHAPTER NINE : DRAWING CONNECTIONS
season 1 episode 3🝮
THE FOUR WOULD WALK DOWN the streets of the town, beginning to find where Andrea might be to ask some questions.
Alice kept her hands in her pockets as she walked, trailing behind Sam and Dean while Jamie walked by her. The boy looked up, seeing how focused she seemed. "Hey, you alright?" He spoke up to her, wondering why she seemed so quiet suddenly.
Alice looked down briefly before nodding. "Uh yeah, I'm good," She assured him the best way she could before giving half-shrug. "This case is just giving me some serious Deja Vu."
"What do you mean?" Jamie asked her curiously.
"Did I ever tell you that I almost drowned when I was like... six?" She asked the boy casually, like it was just a regular memory they talked about. And from Jamie's eyes widening briefly, it told her all she needed to know. Sam heard her, and turned around briefly, locking eyes over at Alice.
"What?" Sam asked, a small surprised weak chuckle.
Alice nodded, seeing that Dean had now looked behind. "Oh yeah, when I was six I fell through the ice. Almost drowned. Fun times." Alice told them all. She smiled a bit when she saw all three Winchesters surprised and confused reactions.
"You never told me that before!" Sam exclaimed to her.
"Or me!" Jamie added in, looking up at Alice.
This caused her to chuckle a bit, shaking her head. "It's not exactly the kind of thing to say when you're just relaxing," Alice told them. "I mean I wasn't gonna be eating at a diner one day and say 'Hey guys, by the way, i once fell through ice and ever since then I've been too chicken to get into large bodies of water again'!" She mocked sarcastically which caused Jamie to snicker.
"Fair enough." Sam nodded along with a small smile while they continued to walk forward to their destination.
They would eventually approach the park, seeing Andrea sitting on a bench, watching her son from faraway.
"Can we join you?" Sam would speak up politely, stopping a couple feet beside Andrea. All four of them would greet her and wanted to appear friendly, which helped them considering Jamie was near.
She would look up at them, raising a confused brow while a friendly grin appeared on her lips before glancing over at Lucas. "I'm here with my son." She told them.
"Oh," Dean spoke up, glancing over at Lucas. "Mind if I say hi?" He had asked, not even waiting for an answer before he walked away anyways.
Andrea would let out a small scoff of amusement towards Dean, her head shaking lightly. "Tell your friend this whole Jerry Maguire thing is not gonna work on me." She spoke, looking up at Sam and Alice. Sam would go to sit down next to her, while Alice and Jamie stood up.
Jamie however, would look over at Dean, walking to Lucas and beginning to talk to him. Curiously, Jamie felt himself wanting to go over. He would nudge Alice, motioning her that he was going to follow, and like Dean, before he could get an answer he walked away.
"I don't think that's what this is about." Sam responded back to Andrea, shaking his head lightly.
Jamie, with his hands in his pockets had walked over to Dean and Lucas, watching as Dean began to talk to the boy who was drawing casually, not at all interacting with him. Dean had been playing with the toy soldiers Lucas had in front of them, mimicking an explosion before making a light brief conversation with him.
