AFTER SCHOOL

Damian leaned against the school gate, his gaze fixed on the bustling crowd of students pouring out of the school. He was waiting for Liam, his heart pounding with a mixture of anticipation and nervousness. He couldn't stop thinking about Liam. The way Liam's eyes lit up when they talked about old movies, the way he laughed so easily, the way he always seemed to be blushing. Damian had never felt this way about anyone before.

Damian's POV: Why can't I get him out of my mind? I think I'm falling for him. He's so different from anyone I've ever known. He's kind and smart and funny, and he makes me feel... things.

He felt a blush creep up his cheeks, and he quickly looked away, trying to hide his embarrassment.

Liam emerged from the school, his face flushed with excitement. "Sorry to keep you waiting," Liam said, a sheepish smile on his face.

"It's okay," Damian replied, his voice a little shaky. "Let's go!"

Liam grinned, his eyes sparkling with anticipation. "Let's go!" He took off running, his laughter echoing through the air.

Damian chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. "He's so cute," he muttered under his breath. He quickly caught up with Liam, his heart pounding with a mixture of joy and apprehension.

"Hurry up!" Liam called out, turning to look at Damian with a playful grin.

"Coming!" Damian replied, his voice laced with a hint of breathlessness.

"Let's go get ice cream!" Liam exclaimed, his eyes shining with excitement.

"Sure, where is it?" Damian asked, his gaze fixed on Liam's eager face.

"Over there!" Liam pointed towards a brightly colored ice cream truck parked at the end of the street.

Damian smiled, a warm feeling spreading through his chest. "Come on, my treat!"

"Really?" Liam asked, his eyes widening in surprise.

"Yes, now stop screaming," Damian teased, his voice laced with a hint of amusement.

"Ops! Sorry," Liam mumbled, his cheeks flushing a deep crimson.

"Come on, before the ice cream truck leaves," Damian said, taking Liam's hand and pulling him towards the truck.

"Okay," Liam agreed, his heart pounding in his chest.

As they stood in line, Damian couldn't help but steal glances at Liam. He was captivated by Liam's infectious energy, his easy smile, and the way his eyes sparkled with joy.

"Why are you so cute?" Damian blurted out, his voice barely a whisper.

Liam looked at him, his eyes filled with confusion. "Did you say something?"

"A-ah, nope," Damian stammered, his face flushing with embarrassment.

"If you say so," Liam replied, a playful smile on his lips.

Damian shook his head, trying to regain his composure. "So, how was it?" he asked, trying to change the subject.

"Delicious!" Liam exclaimed, his eyes sparkling with delight.

"It's getting late," Damian said, his voice soft. "Let me walk you home, okay?"

Liam nodded, his heart filled with a mixture of gratitude and anticipation. He couldn't wait to see Damian again tomorrow.

"Is this your house?" Damian asked, his voice a little hesitant.

"Yes, it is," Liam replied, his eyes meeting Damian's. "Thank you for walking me home. Bye! I'll see you tomorrow!"

"Bye, see you tomorrow!" Damian replied, his voice filled with a warmth that surprised him. He watched as Liam disappeared into his house, his heart pounding with a mixture of hope and excitement. He couldn't wait to see him again.
