Liam hurried to his locker, his heart pounding with anticipation. Xavier, his best friend, was waiting outside, ready to head home. He couldn't wait to tell him about his conversation with Damian. He had finally forgiven him, and they were back to being friends. But as he reached his locker, he realized he'd forgotten his notebook. He needed it for his tutoring session later that afternoon.

He glanced up and saw Damian walking past, his head down, eyes fixed on the floor. Liam didn't call out. He knew Damian was still avoiding him, even though they had made amends. He felt a pang of hurt. He couldn't believe Damian was still acting like this. They had been best friends since kindergarten. What had happened?

Liam grabbed his notebook and hurried out of the school, joining Xavier. He told Xavier about his conversation with Damian, about the rumors and the misunderstanding. Xavier listened patiently, nodding in understanding.

"I'm glad you guys are okay again," Xavier said. "Damian's a good guy, even if he can be a bit of a jerk sometimes."

Liam smiled, relieved to have his best friend back in his corner. He felt a surge of hope. Maybe things were finally getting back to normal.

The next day, Damian was about to ring his doorbell when Liam saw someone walking towards his house. He opened the door, surprised. "Damian? What are you doing here?"

Damian looked up, his eyes filled with a mixture of sadness and hope. "Liam, I need to talk to you."

Liam's anger flared. "What do you want, Damian? You've been ignoring me for weeks."

Damian took a deep breath. "I'm sorry for not telling you about the rumors. I was just... scared. I wanted you to find out on your own. But I was wrong. I should have told you. Please... Can we stop ignoring each other?"

Liam softened, but his voice was still laced with hurt. "Why didn't you tell me? I was so angry. Even though it wasn't true..."

Damian looked down, his eyes filled with regret. "I know. I messed up. I just... I didn't want to lose you."

Liam sighed, his anger fading. "Okay, Damian. I forgive you. We can start over."

Liam felt a wave of relief wash over him. He was glad they were friends again. He had missed Damian. They had shared so much together, from building sandcastles in the sandbox to playing video games in their bedrooms. He couldn't imagine his life without Damian.

The next morning, Liam was just waking up when he heard the news report. A car accident had occurred last night, leaving the driver in critical condition. The driver was currently in a coma. Liam's heart sank. He knew it was Damian. He had seen him driving home last night, his face lit up with happiness after their conversation.

Liam scrambled out of bed, his mind racing. He had to see Damian. He had to make sure he was okay. He put on his shoes and ran out the door, his heart pounding with fear and worry.

He rushed to the hospital, his mind filled with images of Damian. He remembered their childhood, their laughter, their secrets. He remembered how Damian had always been there for him, even when he was the one who needed a friend. He remembered how much he cared about Damian.

He burst into Damian's hospital room, his face pale with worry. He saw Damian lying in the bed, his face pale and still. A doctor approached him. "You must be Liam. I'm Doctor Smith. Damian is in a coma. He was in a car accident..."

Liam's voice cracked. "What happened? Is he going to be okay?"

The doctor shook his head sadly. "It's too early to say. He's unstable. We'll have to wait and see."

Liam sank into a chair next to Damian's bed, his tears falling silently. He reached out and took Damian's hand, his fingers cold and clammy. "Damian, please wake up. I'm so sorry. I forgive you. I'm here for you."

Liam sat by Damian's bedside, holding his hand. He felt a wave of guilt wash over him. He had been so angry with Damian, but now he wished he had been more understanding. He wished he had told Damian how much he cared. He wished he had been there for him. He wished he could take back all the hurtful words that he said to him. He regret letting him leave last night.

"I should've let him stay with me at home"
Thoughts of Liam while holding Damian's hand, hoping that he will wake up soon. Tears falling down next to Damian while holding His hand tightly. Liam fall asleep while crying and when he woke up its already noon and he hasn't come home yet. When he was sure that Damians parents are coming he went home because he hasn't eaten and shower earlier 'cause he was in a hurry to go to the hospital.
