After Gojo and Megumi finish their shared mission, they step inside of a coffee shop to prevent themselves from falling asleep on the trip back to Tokyo's Jujustu High where they both work. After getting their drinks, the two of them find a quiet spot in the corner to sit down for a few minutes. After a few minutes, the tense energy from their previous battle begins to fade and their conversation turns to lighter things. Gojo, ever the playful instigator, decides he's unable to resist teasing Megumi about their fellow teacher waiting for them back at the school.
"So Megumi," Gojo begins, the same smirk Megumi's become so unfortunately used to after all these years playing at the corner of his mouth. "Tell me, what do you think of our lovely new coworker, Y/N?"
Megumi tries his hardest not to react to the question and instead focuses on sipping his drink. Gojo has always known how to read him, though, and continues on when Megumi doesn't respond.
"She's pretty, isn't she? I bet she'd look even prettier with a couple of my fingers buried inside of her, don't you think? You do think, right, Megumi?"
Gojo's grin widens when Megumi chokes on his drink. "You shouldn't talk about her like that. She's one of our colleagues. She's my friend," he replies, his voice devoid of any emotion.
Gojo, however, isn't about to let him off so easily. "Is that so?" he asks, his smirk growing wider. "I find that hard to believe, given the way you've been looking at her lately. It's almost as if you can't keep your eyes off of her."
Megumi's face flushes red and he quickly averts his gaze, trying to hide the storm of emotions that rage inside of him. "It's not like that," he mutters under his breath, his lie sounding hollow and forced even to his own ears.
Gojo chuckles softly, clearly amused. "Well, if that's true then I think I might just try to beat you to the punch. I mean, come on, how could I not fall for someone as charming as she is? With a smile like that, I'd have a hard time resisting her."
"That's not funny," Megumi responds, his voice tight with an emotion he can't quite put a name to. His eyes fix to the ground and Gojo decides to let the matter drop for now, but he knows that this was far from the end of their little game.
Once they continue on their way, the tension between the two of them seems to grow more and more strained by the minute. Little did Megumi know, however, that this would be far from the end of their conflict over the beautiful addition to their school.
Gojo thought you were perfect from the moment he was introduced to you, as if he was immediately drawn in by the very sight of you. He couldn't get you out of his mind, but he knew that you were friends with Megumi first and he hated it. He hated seeing the way Megumi looked at you and knowing he couldn't do a damn thing about it. And so he decided to tease Megumi to try and get a reaction out of him.
But after that didn't go as he had hoped, he decides to give you a try.

The hospital hallways were eerily quiet except for the soft hum of the fluorescent lights overhead and the faint sounds of your footsteps alongside his. The curse you were hunting had led you here- to this sterile, lifeless place where the air smelled too clean, but you knew the real filth was lurking just out of sight.
Gojo- as calm as ever- strolls behind you with his hands tucked casually into his pockets with that easy smile on his lips that never quite gives away what he's thinking. You, on the other hand, can't help but feel the tension creeping up your spine. Going on a mission with Gojo is always so unpredictable.
"Hey," Gojo whispers, his voice casual but with an undertone that makes you glance at him. "How's Megumi been treating you lately?"
You blinked at the question that's caught you off-guard. Megumi? Out of nowhere? You give him a sideways look, unsure of where this is coming from. "Megumi? He's... fine. Why?"
