"Come on, Diane. Don't give me a heart attack like that. It's me, King!" King tells the giant. Diane stares at him, unconvinced. "Wait, you're King?" She questions him. "That's right! You got it!" King points to her, thinking she remembered. Diane laughs at him. "You must be kidding. I know him, and he's not a tiny little boy like you. He's more of a scrappy blimp of a guy." "Well, I mean, yeah, that can be true." King agrees with her. "Hey there, Diane. Are you still half asleep?" Meliodas asks the giant with his arm still slung across Celeste's shoulder. "Meliodas!" She beams at the blonde and notices the Goddess.
"And mother?" She stares at the Goddess with wide eyes. "That's weird. When did she stop calling you by your title?" Hawk asks the blonde. "Diane, are you okay?" Elizabeth asks Diane, and Meliodas squeezes Celeste's breast. "Hmm?" Diane stares at the princess. "And who are you?!"

The group, except King, stood inside Merlin's workshop and explained the situation to the now holographic mage. "Memory loss? It might be short-term amnesia caused by blunt force trauma to the head. Meliodas' arm slides down from Celeste's shoulder to her waist. "Whoa, Merlin! How did you get your body back?" The pig asks the mage. "I didn't. This is just an illusion to make things a bit easier." Merlin explains.
"Oh, I guess that makes sense." Hawk agrees. "It's so strange. While Diane's forgotten that Hawk and I ever existed, she still remembers Sir Meliodas and Lady Celeste just fine." Elizabeth points out. "Been a long time since she called me Meliodas instead of Captain." Meliodas notes, rubbing the back of his head. "She's always called me mother, so that's not strange." Celeste crosses her arms. "Poor King, you should have seen how pale he was." Hawk remembers what happened. "And don't think I haven't suffered. I came this close to being eaten alive!" "But I rescued you." Celeste reminds the pig.
Diane holds Hawk by his tail over her mouth. "Diane! No!" Celeste flies up and grabs the pig from her. "He's not food!" She tells Diane as Hawk trembles in her arms. "Oh, sorry." Diane apologizes, hiding behind her pigtails. "It's fine." Celeste sighs, lowering herself to the floor.

"Hmm, she's continuing to lose more memories." Merlin repeats what King explained. "Yes, exactly. It's not just me she's forgotten it's captain, too." King shares. "Hold on a second. I'm pretty sure that when I first met Diane, she might've called me by my first name." Meliodas says. "For now, let's just observe her." Merlin tells them.

"What do you mean she's not there." King asks once they get to where Diane is staying. "Well, she left in a rush without saying anything." The Knight posted there explains. "Where could she be?" King wonders. "That's easy." Gowther says, gaining everyone's attention to him walking over with Slader. "Where she used to live before joining the Seven Deadly Sins." He shares. "Wait, what do you mean?" King asks, landing in front of the doll.
"I erased her memories using my Lost World ability. Wanting to learn about emotions, I manipulated Guila's memories. Diane strongly condemned me for doing so and said, 'If you think memories are something you think you can just change, then you've got another thing coming!' So, as a test, I erased hers, as I predicted they were quite easily removed. Memories are nothing but simple bits of information, after all." Gowther explains. King glares at him with teary eyes. "You miserable little... How could you do that to somebody's mind?" He asks the doll. "Easy, King." Meliodas cautions the Sin. King goes back to his normal form and seemingly calms down. "Gowther, I'm upset, but I shouldn't have said those things." He floats over to Gowther. "Maybe you could at least tell me this. What feelings did you experience when you erased her memories?" King asks him.
"What do you mean? I'm not sure I understand your question. To wipe away the recollections of somebody, feelings aren't necessary at all." Gowther replies. Celeste sighs and facepalms. King looks away. "They're not necessary, huh?" He whispers. "What's wrong? Why are you angry?" Gowther asks, not understanding the situation. "Gowther!" Slader yells at him. "I'm not angry about this, but I'm genuinely disappointed in you. Because a person's heart," King's guardian punches Gowther into a wall. "isn't your plaything!" He yells. "Captain, Mother, I'm going after Diane even if I have to--" "What are you waiting for? Let's go find Diane!" Celeste yells to him as she, Meliodas, Elizabeth, and Hawk run to the Boar Hat. King nods and flies over to them. Slader picks up Gowther. "Idiot."

Everyone stood on the bar's porch. "So, where do you think we should start?" King asks. "Before Diane joined the Sins, she was still living in her hometown." Meliodas explains. "Hold on, you don't mean." King trails off. "The Giant races homeland, Megadoza." Meliodas tells him. "Megadoza lies to the north. At a distance of only 300 miles." Merlin announces. "I'm so worried. I hope Diane's all right." Elizabeth says. "We'll bring her back, no matter what." Meliodas tells her. Celeste stood beside him, staring ahead.
"Diane of the Giant Race. Out of Envy for her power, you poisoned and killed Matrona, warrior, and friend of the kingdom. In order to silence any witnesses, you massacred 330 innocent Liones knights. These great sins are despicable and horrific, thus you are sentenced to be beheaded!" A Holy Knight tells a tied-up Diane, while others look on. "Sorry to interrupt but that sentence will have to wait." Celeste and Meliodas stood at the gate. "Lady Celeste! And who are you?" A knight says, acknowledging the woman. "By direct order of his Majesty and his regent, I Meliodas and the regent Celeste will take custody of the apprehended Giant, Diane." Meliodas tells the knight. Diane looks back at them, surprised.
"Cause it's our responsibility." Celeste says.
