Y/n's P.O.V
"Make sure to smile, Y/n." My boss reminded me.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." I rolled my eyes at my bosses reminder.

You're probably wondering what my job is, we'll, I'm a Starbucks worker. A cashier, to be exact.

"And I better not catch you watching that ridiculous Lego show on the job again." My boss shouted as he retreated to the back.

"Hey! Lego Monkie Kid isn't ridiculous!" I shouted back.

"Excuse me, miss?" A woman and her little girl came up to the counter.

"Hi, welcome to Starbucks. What would you like to order?" I asked the woman.

"I would like a Caramel Crunch Frappuccino and an apple juice for my daughter." The woman ordered.

"Coming right up." I said as I prepared the drinks.

Once the drinks were done, I handed them to the woman and her daughter.

"There you go, have a good rest of your day." I attempted a smile.

"Ooo, mommy, can I have a cookie?" The woman's daughter pointed to the display case of cookies.

"Sorry honey, but Mommy's short on money right now, maybe next time." The woman pat her daughter on the shoulder.

The daughter sulked, her shoulders drooping.

I frowned, giving the little girl a sympathetic look.

I grabbed a cookie from the display case, handing it to the little girl. "There you go, on the house."

"Really? Thank you, miss." The little girl smiled, biting into her cookie.

"Thank you, ma'am. You're too kind. Money's been so scarce lately for me. It's hard to see my little girl smile lately." The woman said. "Is there anything I can do to repay you?"

"No, you don't need to do anything, just have a good day." I waved bye to the woman and her daughter as they left.

I sighed, resting my face on my hand. "I wish people back then thought I was kind. All they would do is assume stuff."

I thought to myself for a second before pulling out my phone. "Maybe I can watch some LMK. Too bad season 5 isn't out yet. I would really like to watch that."

Once my shift was over, I started walking home.

As I walked home, it started to rain.

"Great, and I didn't even bring an umbrella." I sighed as I pulled the hood of my jacket up.

As I walked in the rain, I started to reminisce of the times I was in high school and moments before.

High school was awful for me. 9th grade, I lost my aunt, whom I had loved very much.

Then went my grandma and mom. Now it was just me and my sister. Of course, me and my sister loved each other, but any time I would want to spend time with her. She was either busy with work or when she was off work, or she would be too busy playing games with her friends, not bothering to spend time with me.

I get the work part, but seriously, she chose her friends over her own sister.

It got worse because in school, I was bullied, and when the bullies got me so mad, a fight would break out, and I was always the one to blame.

Others would make fun of me for liking, quote on quote, "Stupid Lego shows."

I may be an adult now, but Legos shows are what keep me sane at the moment.
