A love rekindled

Bonnie's pov

After I woke up, it was almost noon, and I decided to walk around to take some time to myself before the full moon happened tonight.

'Bonnie!' I heard voice behind me.

Once I turned around, I froze. It was Caroline and Elena. Tears falling down my face, I froze, excited and more emotional to see my best friends standing in front of me after so long.

'Caroline, Elena.' I stuttered.

Before I could speak more, they rushed forward to me and hugged me.

'We know we've missed you too.' Elena said softly.

'You have no idea how worried we've been about you.' Caroline added.

'I'm sorry for shutting yall out. After everything that happened to Enzo and me, I couldn't stay in Mystic Falls, especially with Stefan being there.'

'You don't have to explain. We understand.' Elena said.

'We're you're family. We'll always be there for you.' Caroline smiled.

'Hey Bonnie.' A familiar voice said.

I felt tensed, it' was him, Stefan. I slowly turned my eyes from happy to anger. Mostly hurt.

'What are you doing here?'

He shifted uncomfortably guilt ridden on his face.

He pleaded. 'I know I'm the last person you want to see right now, but Bonnie, I am sorry for what I put you through after what happened to Enzo. But I'm here and I want to help.'

I was clenching my fist with fury and hatred. 'Sorry, it doesn't cut what you did.'

Before Stefan could respond, Damon appeared with trademark smirk.

'Relax Bon Bon. He's here to help, and if he does anything stupid, I'll make sure he'll regret it.'

It's going to take a long time before I can forgive you... but for now... I'm willing to give you a chance."

Stefan's shoulders sagged in relief.
"Thank you. I won't let you down.'

'You better or else.' I gave him a death stare.

Nobody's pov
5 hours later, it was almost time for the full moon to start.

Bonnie and her friends were sitting by the fireplace talking and catching up. Elena and Damon were pregnant with twins. Caroline and Stefan moved out of the Salvatore house after it was turned into a boarding school for the supernatural and bought a small home near the lake. Josie and Lizzie were 10 now, Matt became sheriff and started dating a girl named Emily Jones, Alaric is now retired and is now principal for the school. Abbie still checks up on Bonnie but is now travelling around America to find other witches to connect with the help of her mother.

Bonnie's pov:

The night is now illuminated with the flick of the light now turned on with moon light shimmering just right for the full moon. The tribal witches started chanting in a circle in the middle around a mystical figure drawn from the ground. I was holding Caroline's and Elena's hand nervously.

'You've got this. We'll be right here.' Caroline whispered.

'I smiled and whispered back. 'Thank you for being here.'

The chanting started to grow more, wind staring around the us. The ground started to shake with fire, and smoke spiralled upward, creating an eerie mist.
Then suddenly, the smoke stopped, and silence filled the space.

I was anxious,'Did it work?' I hope so.

The smoke slowly disappeared, revealing a still figure lying on the figure.

'Enzo?' I slowly walked up to see if it's him.

His eyes fluttered open, dazed, but familiar. He slowly sat up, meeting my eyes.

'Hello, beautiful.' Hw said with a small but weak smile.

With a small tear, I ran up to him and gave him a hug. Hugging him tightly.

'I thought I would never see you again.' I sobbed

Enzo whipped my tears with his trembling fingers.

'You could never get rid of me, even if you wanted to.'
