Nobody's POV
It was 9 a.m., and sunlight streamed gently through the curtains as Enzo stirred awake. Today was special Bonnie's birthday. He quietly got up, showered, and began packing their bags for a surprise weekend getaway at their cosy cabin.
Determined to make her day unforgettable, Enzo prepared breakfast in bed. He arranged the tray with care and carried it to their bedroom. Placing it gently on the bedside table, he leaned down and kissed Bonnie's forehead.
Enzo's POV
"Mmh..." Bonnie mumbled sleepily, her voice warm and soft from sleep.
"Morning, love. I made you breakfast in bed."
Her eyes fluttered open, soft with affection. "Aw, Enzo, you didn't have to do all this."
"I know, but I wanted to, and I have a surprise for you later." I couldn't help but smirk.
Her curiosity lit up. "What surprise?"
"So eager to find out, huh? You'll see later."
Bonnie smiled, shaking her head at my teasing.
Nobody's POV
After breakfast, Bonnie took a long shower, excited and curious about Enzo's mysterious plans. When she stepped into the living room, she found him lounging on the couch, scrolling through his phone.
"Wow, Bonnie, you look stunning," he said, standing up and crossing the room to her.
"Thank you."
He gently kissed her before whispering, "Happy Birthday."
From behind his back, he pulled out a small Pandora box and handed it to her.
Bonnie gasped when she opened it, revealing a beautiful heart-shaped necklace.
"You remembered," she whispered, touched.
"Of course I did. Open the locket."
Her fingers trembled slightly as she opened the heart, revealing a picture of them from their first date.
"Enzo, this is beautiful. Thank you."
"There's more waiting for you," he said, a mischievous twinkle in his eye.
After a playful back-and-forth, they left the apartment, driving for about 25 minutes into the countryside.
Bonnie's POV
"Where are we going?" I asked for the third time.
"You'll see." Enzo chuckled as he pulled out a blindfold.
"Enzo, what are you doing?" I laughed, playfully suspicious.
"Trust me."
I let him guide me, feeling the crunch of gravel beneath our feet. Before I could ask more, he scooped me up bridal-style.
"Enzo!" I gasped, laughing as he carried me.
"Happy Birthday, love," he whispered in my ear, making my heart flutter.
When he finally removed the blindfold, I gasped, tears filling my eyes. The cabin was decorated with flowers, candles, and wrapped gifts scattered across the room. Rose petals formed a delicate trail toward the cosy fireplace.
"Oh my, Enzo, this is perfect." My voice broke as emotion overwhelmed me.
"You deserve to be celebrated... always." He kissed me softly.
Nobody's POV
Among the gifts was one labelled "From Dad," leaving Bonnie momentarily stunned. Her father had passed years ago, but seeing his name brought an unexpected wave of emotion.
With trembling hands, she opened the envelope. Inside was a handwritten note:
"My beautiful daughter, Bonnie,
Enzo asked for your hand in marriage, and I gladly gave my blessing. I know how much you mean to him and how strong your love is. I'm so proud of the woman you've become. I'll be watching over you on your wedding day, proud and filled with love. Happy birthday, my little girl.
Dad"
Tears streamed down her face as she clutched the letter to her chest.
"Thank you, Enzo, and thank you, Dad."
"He'd be so proud of you," Enzo whispered, wrapping her in his arms.
After opening the rest of her gifts and sharing heartfelt messages from friends and family, they enjoyed a quiet, intimate dinner together.
As Bonnie cleared the dishes, Enzo snuck up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and trailing soft kisses down her neck.
"Enzo... I'm trying to clean up." She giggled, breath hitching.
"I can't help it... you look so beautiful in this dress."
When his kisses deepened, she turned to face him, her eyes sparkling. "If you keep that up... we might have to take this to the bedroom."
"Wanna bet?" Enzo grinned mischievously, lifting her into his arms. She laughed as he carried her toward the bedroom.
Enzo gently traced Bonnie's jawline with his fingertips, his gaze intense yet tender. Their breaths mingled as he leaned in, capturing her lips in a slow, passionate kiss that deepened with every heartbeat. Bonnie's hands roamed up his back, pulling him closer until there was no space left between them. He lifted her effortlessly, carrying her toward the bed while never breaking the kiss. As they tumbled onto the soft sheets, time seemed to pause, leaving only whispered promises, soft moans, and the undeniable connection they shared. Their love unfolded in intimate waves, each touch igniting a deeper passion that neither could resist.
Hours later, tangled in each other's arms, Bonnie whispered, "That was... perfect. Thank you."
"I told you I'd give you the best birthday ever."
"You did. This is the happiest I've ever been."
He kissed her forehead. "Happy Birthday, love. I'll always be here... making every day special."
"I love you."
"I love you too."
They fell asleep wrapped in each other's arms, content, and at peace. The rest of their weekend at the cabin was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories Bonnie's best birthday yet.
