"You got this E"Aviva who had been by her side encouraged her.

Evette nodded then tied her curly hair in a ponytail allowing strands to frame her face.

"We know you can do this"Ciara placed a hand on her shoulder, she was surprised for a moment but she smiled.

"Now,go there and show them the power of your flames"Ciara continued

"Yes I will"Evette said as a feeling of excitement and strength washed over her.

She looked at her opponent closely trying to get a glimpse of what her abilities might be.

The announcer started the match but her opponent, sora didn't move and frankly she didn't want too either.

It seemed sora got tired of the non action as she opened her palms and Evette was sure that if she had blinked even for the slightest second she would've been hurt as countless sharpened needles flew towards her but she missed narrowly,a needle grazing her arm.

She covered the spot that had been hit,she tried her best not to think of the pain.

She threw her fist in the air throwing flame balls at sora, but she dodged them.

She ran towards sora, she spun her legs around and a flame kick knocked sora backwards.

Sora sent out needles again they were many, she took a deep breath then threw out a flame breath burning the needles.

She threw flame daggers at her but to her surprise the needles gathered till they formed a shield protecting her from the danger.

It was then she knew she had to be fast, very fast if she wanted to win this match. She held out her palms and a halo formed around them as she created a flame pillar to appear where sora was standing.

Sora flipped backwards but it was to late the flame had done a great deal of damage as she staggered backwards.

Evette didn't stop though, she sent up another flame pillar exactly where sora was standing but this time she avoided it clearly.

She leapt up in the air and sent another barrage of needles towards Evette but she created a giant flame hand in front of her,the hand blocked any needle from touching her.

She closed her palms and the hand turned into a fist, she sent out multiple flame arrows to sora, though she managed to avoid some,a good number still got to her.

Sora sent out multiple needles again and Evette let out a flame breath, she noticed that there was no needle in sight.

Confused she turned her head slightly and the needles shot at her,she was quick enough to avoid a lot but some still pierced her.

She was about to shoot flame arrows when she felt her head spin, the needles were coated in something.
"What did you coat your needles with?"she growled.

"It's just a simple poison, just to wear you out it'll wear off after some time"her tone of voice made it clear that she was mocking her.

Evette growled, she was angry, more than angry, she was scared of losing,
the flames in her body were itching to be let out before she passes out from the poison.

Her vision was spinning, she let her flames out and within seconds the whole floor was ablaze, Sora tried to protect herself but it was futile, the flames were strong, the air was thick with smoke,it was suffocating, she couldn't breathe, she passed out.

Evette saw that Sora had passed out honestly she knew she was next, she was barely holding up.

The announcer declared her the winner of the match.

She had won,the joy she felt made her almost forget about the poison till she felt a pang of pain, she was struggling to stand up, she didn't even think she could walk all the way to the healers.

"E are you okay"she saw Aviva running towards her along with the rest. Giving a weak smile, she attempting taking a step but her body failed her as she started falling.

The last thing she saw was Kyle holding her and the jealous look on Liana's face, then her vision went black, the poison had taken effect.

Kyle carried Evette to the healers, laying her down on the bed he watched as one of the healers made her way to Evette, she seemed older.

She placed her hand on Evette's forehead"she'll be fine, give her at most six hours, the poison will wear off"

Kyle nodded hesitantly then he left.

Outside the rest looked at him worried"she'll be fine, don't worry"

His eyes landed on Liana, she looked angry,he was about to say something when Ciara cut him off.

"You should rest Kyle you have a match tomorrow, Evette will be fine don't worry"

Kyle nodded and left.

"Kyle"he stopped in his tracks when he heard Liana's voice but he didn't turn to face her.

"What is..."she cut him off.

"What the hell was that?"she was furious"how many times have I fallen sick but you don't do anything, you've known me your entire life you haven't known her for up to three months but you go prince charming when she gets hurt once"

"Liana I don't have time for this"he was tired.

"Why don't you,you only have time for her,you care way much about what she thinks about you,do you like her"her voice cracked at the end.

"No I don't but she's my friend so I have to help her,she had practically passed out,I don't think I was being a bad person for helping her"the icy tone in his voice made her flinch.

She looked down at her hands"good because you're already dating me,I'm just saying she shouldn't shoot to far"

"Should I remind you that this whole relationship is not based on the fact that I love you"his words hit her hard and she struggled to blink back the tears"it's based on the fact that we're involved in an arranged marriage and are just trying to know each other"

"Kyle I didn't mean it..."

He cut her off"No Liana,I have my match tomorrow,if you don't have anything beneficial to say then I'm going"he left.

Liana let the tears flow as she stood rooted in one spot, she didn't bother to wipe them, she just let them flow hoping it would ease her aching heart.

Kyle stood in front of his mirror, he was thinking about what Liana had said earlier, yes he liked her but it was just because they were friends,he liked her character, her personality yes but that was it.

He turned his head to look at Luka who was already asleep, letting out a heavy sigh,he fell on his bed allowing his body to succumb to sleep.
