Jude fluttered his eyes open as the golden rays of sunlight peaked into his room.
He ran his hand through his hair, he remembered Luka told him to meet him at the city library by ten and it was already quarter past nine.
"Shit" he muttered, he had really slept in,quietly picking himself up,he went into the bathroom, brushed,bathed and came out with a towel draped around his waist.
He opened his closet and picked a black shirt with a dark purple hoodie,black ripped jeans and high sole sneakers after ten minutes he was done as he went down to eat.
When he finished eating,he checked his watch."nine thirty five" he muttered,what was taking Freya so long.
"Freya,hurry up would,it's not like you're going to a ball."
" I'm almost done"she replied from her room.He looked at his watch"nine forty."
" I'm ready"she stood at the doorway wearing a wide t-shirt tucked inside her pastel blue wide legged pants. She had a soft jacket hanging over her arm and a small handbag was resting comfortably on her shoulders.
There was a golden bracelet on her wrist and a small necklace adorning her neck,her black and white high soles sneakers complimented it well.
She wore loop earrings and had her wavy brown hair down at its full length. She looked simple yet beautiful.
"Let's go,you don't want to keep your friend waiting" she walked passed him and stood at the door.
When they got there,they met up with Luka who motioned them to enter the huge library.
"Where do we start?" Freya looked at Luka."let's meet the librarian" they headed towards the librarian's desk.
"Hey, what'd ya need" Luka looked up to see a dark skinned girl with short dark pink hair and big blue eyes.
"We're looking for the section on abilities."
"Go straight and then the first shelf to your left" she continued reading her book. "That's the fifteenth one this morning" she whispered to herself.
Luka got there and picked up a book "all you need to know about powers" he picked up the book and went to where Jude sat with Freya.
"I've got it" was all he said when Jude replied with a"hmm." He passed the book to Jude when a familiar voice rang in Jude's ears"do you really need to cling unto me like this" it was the person who had collided with him.
"Hey,let's seat here" the female with him ignored the people already sitting down there and sat down with him.
The boy looked at the annoying girl clinging unto his arm,her straight purple hair swayed behind her back as she coquettishly fluttered her lilac coloured eyes to him.
"It's you" the boy glared as soon as he saw Jude,"here to force me to apologize" Jude smirked."No, I came to apologize and be on good terms,I'm Kyle,this is Liana."
"Jude,Freya and Luka"he pointed to each person as he called their name.
" What are you looking for?"she glanced down at the book he was opening before stopping to ask him.
"Do you have a power?"
"No" he replied icily and the air around them seem to drop.She looked around and saw that neither Freya nor Luka gave a positive answer.
A sly smile crept up her face,
"Well that's not nice, having abilities isn't exactly uncommon, as far as I know majority is meant to have if not all,mine is space and Kyle can manipulate earth" she boasted.
Jude just gave a short nod no emotions attached.
"And how do you know if you have a power?" Freya spoke up
"You can check using a crystal ball" Liana looked at her.
She was about to talk but was interrupted by the book slamming shut.
"That's enough,let's go"he was tired of hearing Liana blab about this and that. Not waiting for Luka or Freya to react he walked out.
"You know how about meeting on Monday we could check a crystal ball and then we'd go out to a club to drink."he heard Kyle's voice.
"Are you sure,I don't want to disturb your date with your girl."
"She won't be there" He nodded and walked off with Luka and Freya seeing that they had come out.
