The three Girlmore girls sit in Luke's diner. Lorelai eating pancakes, Iris eating a pastry and Rory just with her coffee. The two girls wore their school uniform, Rory with her hair slicked back into a pony tail while Iris kept it down. Iris' hair was dark and had a 70s vibe going for it, she much preferred it wear it down.

"It's the first day of school, I want to get there early" Rory says leaning forward.

"We will I promise" Lorelai tells her

"I have different classes this year, my routes aren't the same. I haven't found my quickest path around" Rory explains "and my locker, they moved it, so I don't even know if it'll work properly, and then I'll have to get a new one, and who knows how long that'll take or if have to get a new one. That could send the whole day into chaos"

"I'm sure it will be fine" Iris says, much more relaxed about it.

"I'm just excited" Rory smiles.

The door to the diner opens and Lane comes rushing in "oh thank god you haven't left yet" she says pulling up a chair and sitting opposite Iris at the table. "I've found the greatest record store in the world and it's 10 minutes from your school and I was wondering how much you love me"

"No way!" Iris says excited about the idea or there being a record store so close. "What's the address?"

"Recordbreaker incorporated, 2453 Berlin Turnpike" Lane says as Rory writes it down.

"Got it" Rory says "place your order now"

"Yes, okay" Lane says getting her book out were she'd wrote all the records she wanted "Charles Mingus 'the black saint and the sinner lady', The Sonics 'here are the sonics', MC5 'kick out the Jams'"

"Good one" Iris comments

"Fairport Convention 'Liege and lief', Bee Gees 'Odessa'" Lane continues

"Bee gees?" Rory questions

"Well Mojo says" Lane replies

"So it must be true" Rory finishes

"That's it" Lane says closing the book "so if I could just find a copy of Whistler, Chaucer, Detroit, and Greenhill. I will finally be done with the 60s"

"We can get there today, tomorrow at the latest" Iris tells her

"I love it when we're back to school" Lane says

"Me too" Rory agrees. Iris wasn't as a big fan of school as Rory but she put up with it.

Lorelai stands up from her seat "hey!" Rory says

"I'm just getting doughnuts for later, as soon as I do I'll take you to school, and the nice men in the white coats will pick you up" she tells her

The teenagers continued to talk before their attention was taken to the sound of Luke shouting into the phone. Iris looked over towards him.

"This is unbelievable! You will never change will you?" He says "okay fine. Do what you want, make the arrangements. Now I'm working. Well finish this later"

Iris and Rory look at each other confused about what he could possibly be angry like that for.

"So you've got Franklin after school right?" Iris asks Rory as they walk to lunch.

"Yep" she responds

"And how's that gonna go?" Iris asks.

"I spoke to Paris" Rory says

"You spoke to Paris!" Iris says shocked "and you've still got all your teeth"

"We decided that we need to coexist" Rory explains
