"So I've decided I'm saving myself for William Holden" Lorelai announces

"Wow it's nice out here in left field" Rory responds

"Hey I'm sorry 'Sunset Boulevard' was on last night and, I don't know, I've known him for years 'Sabrina', 'Stalag 17'. And yet last night something snapped" Lorelai tells

"I'll say" Rory munbles

"I think if was the monkey scene" Lorelai explains

"You know he's dead" Iris reminds her

"The monkey?" Lorelai asks

"William Holden" Iris corrects

"Every great relationship has its obstacles" Lorelai says picking up a basket. They were in Doose's trying to pick a basket out for the towns 'bid for a basket' thing.

"What about this one?" Rory picks one up

"It's too big raises expectations"Lorelai tells her

"That there's actually a home cooked lunch in there?" Rory says

"Instead of whatever's left over in our refrigerator? Exactly" Lorelai claims.

"Isn't it nice, women get to make a nice lunch basket, the men bid on it, the world rotates backwards on its axis" Iris says sarcastically

"I think it's fun" Rory states

"That's because you have a pretty boy to bid on your basket" Lorelai reminds her

"Sold for $15 to the man in the yellow!" Taylor shouts as the man collects the basket he had just purchased. "Now this next one may not look like much but good things come in small packages"

"How badly does he wanna be hosting a game show" Lorelai says. It was Iris' basket. The truth was that she assumes no one would buy it and once no one says a number for a while Kirk would just because he liked the basket.

"Let's start at $3!" Taylor announces

"Hey!" Iris shouts because of the low price.

"$5!" A voice in the back shouts. Iris turns to see it was Jess, she smiles at him.

"Anyone else?" Taylor asks and pauses for a moment "sold to the nice young hoodlum in the back for $5"

Jess walks up and collects the basket. "Guess I'll see you later" Iris says to her sister and mom before following Jess away from everyone.

"So..." she starts

"So what?" Jess asks

"So you bought my basket"

"Well it wasn't much of an expense" he jokes

"Sure"

"Couldn't have you eating it alone" he says. They keep walking

"Hm" she says and pauses for a moment "so where are we eating?"

"Here" Jess says

Iris looked around, they were at the bridge. "Okay sure" she says sitting down, he does as well.

"I like this place" Jess tells her

"A place in Stars Hollow you actually like" Iris jokes

"Has some nice memories" he says and points "see right over there? That's where Luke pushed me in"

"Nice" Iris says

"Well should we open this?" Jess says looking at the basket. Iris moves so one leg was bent so she could face him more.
