Kuea's pov :

It's been 2 days since I heard about what hia went through in his past , it still haunts me to think about hia like that , how he suffered so much even if he did nothing to be at fault,
I couldn't bring myself to face hia even though I see him everyday but I don't know what I'll say to him infront of his face after that night,

I came back to attend my university after a tiring yet slothful week of my punishment, though this week literally unexpected things happened to me but
I'm kinda glad that I got to see so many different sides of hia Lian this whole week ,

But after that night when he cried, it's been 2 days and it's as if he's barely present in the house, he's been so occupied and tied up with work , his days has been kind of meddlesome for him , even I can notice his workaholic behaviour these days ,

Whenever I think about him , A thought that he already has a fiancee bothers my mind ,
Whenever I think about the fact that he's already bound to someone and he's going to marry that only person, makes my heart feel a painful pang , it's been hard to think that he has someone else since I realised that I like him and have feelings for him ,
A pang of no- hope stiffening my heart,

There's no chance, no chance for me .

It's even surprising to think that he even left his previous lovers for that fiancee of his and rejected everyone for that person he's bound to, he waited so long for his arranged fiancee,
So there's no chance that I'd come in between ,

"Heyy kuea , what's up ?." A sudden familiar voice startled me , coming right up from behind,

"That startled me ." My friend diao shot up a mischievous grin at me, sitting on the chair beside mine ,

"What are you doing?." He asked eyes glimmering with exhilaration,

"Just completing my pending assignments." I sighed looking at the piled up work ,

"Who told you to skip uni for a week." He passed a ludic look and raised his eyebrows,

"Just shut up ." I uttered in annoyance, I knew he's going to tease me about hia , he's been doing that from the moment I told him the reason of me being absent for the whole week , I'm glad that I have a friend like him to share my problems with but he can be a pain in the neck sometimes,

"Oh that 'hia' of yours told you to do so .. I almost forgot." He babbled emphasizing the word 'hia' in his sentence teasingly.

I rolled my eyes at him , getting back to my work , scribbling all the unfinished work of one week on paper ,Along with my laptop .

"Ayy our kuea is back." Neo popped up from nowhere only to jump onto me and clinging on my shoulders,

"Where were you this whole week ." He spoke but I didn't had a answer to give,

"Mm.. it's kind of complicated..
I was just .. taking a break you see .."
I told him smiling at him brightly ,

"Anyway let's just grab lunch together? What do you think." He winked at me ,
This punk will never change, I thought to myself,

"I'm ready, you know as always ." Pat appeared infront of neo's face hanging his arm around my shoulders ,

"Who asked you ? I was talking to kuea you tacky little goon ." Neo rolled his eyes at pat , these two are always having these little arguments but always the bestest for each other ,
