Jaeyun and Miyeon spent hours together outside the castle, doing a mix of fun and adventurous activities. Trying local delicacies from food stalls, partook in a friendly archery competition with Jaeyun, which Miyeon defeated Jaeyun in by a landslide, and even stopping by a local village festival.

It was now getting dark and soon they heading back to the castle. Miyeon's stomach started to rumble. She placed a hand over her belly, embarrassed, but Jaeyun heard it immediately.

"Hungry?" he asked, arching a brow with a smirk. Miyeon nodded shyly. "I guess all this running around worked up an appetite. But I didn't bring any money with me." Jaeyun waved off her concern with a casual flick of his hand. "Don't worry about it. I'll pay."

"Are you sure?" Miyeon asked hesitatingly. She wasn't used to letting someone else pay for her, especially Jaeyun, despite how much closer they had become recently.

"Obviously," Jaeyun replied, his voice full of his usual confidence. "I'm a prince. Buying you lunch isn't going to break the royal treasury." He flashed her a teasing grin, which made Miyeon relax a little.

They made their way to a cosy restaurant on the outskirts of town. The inside was charming, filled with the mouth watering aromas of freshly baked bread and savoury dishes. Jaeyun ordered for both of them, choosing dishes Miyeon had never heard of but was excited to try.

As they waited for their food, Miyeon couldn't help but watch Jaeyun. He seemed more at ease out here, away from the castle and all the pressures of their responsibilities. This version of him was more relaxed, even playful, and she found herself smiling more often around him.

When the food finally arrived, they dug in with enthusiasm, and Miyeon couldn't help but laugh as Jaeyun teased her for enjoying the meal a little too much.

"You eat like you've never seen food before," Jaeyun remarked with a playful smirk.

"I didn't know vampires could eat regular food," Miyeon said, eyeing Jaeyun as he casually chewed on a piece of roasted meat.

Jaeyun smirked, leaning back in his chair. "We can. We just prefer something a little richer." His eyes glinted mischievously as he added, "But trust me, human food can be satisfying sometimes. Especially when you're not trying to make a scene."

Miyeon rolled her eyes, biting into her own food. "You mean like the scene you made the first time you were served animal blood?" Jaeyun chuckled softly. "I was making a point." Miyeon raised an eyebrow, a teasing smile playing on her lips. "A point or just your usual theatrics?"

Jaeyun shrugged, a hint of amusement flickering in his gaze. "I was making a point." Oh yeah sure you were," she muttered letting out a small laugh.

As Miyeon took another bite of her meal, she noticed Jaeyun suddenly stiffen. His relaxed demeanour shifted, and his jaw clenched. She followed his gaze across the restaurant, her eyes landing on a familiar figure. Jungwoo.
