After what had felt like hours, they finally arrived at the Decelis Castle and their plan could be set into motion. Jungwon and Heeseung approached the grand entrance of Decelis Castle. As they entered the castle, they were met by several guards who were easy to pass through due to their relations to the Sim family.

They entered into the grand hall of the castle and there sat Jungwoo alongside his parents,  looking utterly unfazed, his lips curving into a small, mocking smile as he watched to them approach. Jungwon and Heeseung exchanged a glance, then stepped forward.

"Good afternoon your majesties," Heeseung began, his tone formal but laced with faked politeness. "We wanted to see if their was any news about Miyeon and Jaeyun's whereabouts."

Jungwoo's gaze sharpened, a flicker of amusement in his eyes. "Really?" he replied, a hint of a smirk tugging at his lips. "That makes sense but how come only you two came here? Where's the rest of your group? "

Jungwon chuckled casually, keeping his expression calm. "Oh the rest are very busy with their work so only the two of us could make it." He secretly casted a quick look around the castle.

The king looked over at them, an eyebrow raised. "Oh I see," he said, voice laced with suspicion, "But to me it's shocking that some of his closest friends, doesn't even know where he is as well."

As the Sim family were focused on Jungwon and Heeseung, Miyeon managed to slip into the palace through a side door and quietly moved along the shadowed corridors.

She knew she had to find Jaeyun before it was too late. She just hoped that Jungwon and Heeseung could keep Jaeyun's family distracted long enough for her to find Jaeyun.

As she walked down the corridor, Miyeon scanned every inch of the stone walls, hoping to spot anything that looked like a hidden entrance or passageway. But she seemed to lead into nothing more than dead ends and empty rooms. Her frustration grew with every turn she took.

Just as she was about to turn back, a subtle outline caught her eye at the far end of the corridor. She squinted, moving closer, and ran her fingers along the seam of what appeared to be a hidden door, cleverly blended into the stone. Relief flooded her, happy that she finally found something.

But when she tried the handle, it wouldn't budge. "Fuck," she mumbled under her breath, her mind racing.

She needed to find a key, but where would she find it? Immediately, one person came to mind.

Jungwoo.

If anyone in the castle would guard something so important, it would be him. Gathering her courage, she quietly went up the staircase and made her way to Jungwoo's bedroom. The hallway was empty, giving her a brief moment to slip inside unnoticed.

She gently opened the door, slipping through and closed it softly behind her. His room was dimly lit, with only the soft glow of candlelight illuminating the grand but dark furnishings.

Miyeon's eyes darted over the shelves, drawers, and surfaces. Her fingers trembled slightly as she carefully sifted through papers and small objects, taking care not to leave anything out of place.

Finally, she came upon an old, leather-bound book on his desk. She opened it, flipping through the pages until she saw a glint of metal tucked between the pages. The key. Relief washed over her as she slipped it out and clutched it tightly in her hand.

Although something confused her. Why would Jungwoo keep something like this in a book? But Miyeon dismissed that concern and was able to head out until she heard footsteps and a voice outside by the door. Her heart skipped a beat.

She barely had time to think. Miyeon ducked and hid underneath Jungwoo's bed, pressing herself as flat as possible and holding her breath. The voice grew closer, stopping right outside Jungwoo's room.

Miyeon felt her heart falling down to her feet as she realised the voice belonged to none other than Jungwoo, who had just entered his room. Miyeon didn't dare let out not even a sound. Because of where she was hiding, she couldn't see what Jungwoo was doing. All she could see was his feet.

As he turned, Jungwoo stopped and turned towards his bed but then continue walking and soon left his room. Miyeon let out a subtle sigh of relief, happy she hadn't been caught. She slid herself out from the bed and grabbed the key from Jungwoo's desk.

Miyeon slightly opened the door and peeked out to check if Jungwoo had left. Lucky for her, Jungwoo was already downstairs going back to his family. Now that the coast was clear, Miyeon hurriedly but silently walked back downstairs and headed back to the hidden door.

She entered the key into a keyhole and after moving it around a bit, the door finally opened. Miyeon was met with a steep staircase and she couldn't see nothing but darkness at the bottom. Reluctant at first, Miyeon headed down the stairs hoping that she could find Jaeyun.

When she got to the bottom, Miyeon was met with a door. She then quietly opened the door and found that it was some sort of prison underneath their home with multiple cells then. Her eyes looked around each cell until her eyes fell towards a cell and what she saw made her sick to her stomach.

Miyeon saw Jaeyun drinking and devouring her parents' blood.

"Jaeyun! What are you doing!" she cried out in terror. Immediately, Jaeyun stopped drinking and stared at her, his eyes cold bloodshot and his mouth covered in blood. He then slowly walked out of the cell and slowly walked towards Miyeon.

"Get away from me," said Miyeon. She couldn't believe the horror she had just saw. Jaeyun then stopped and then paused for a moment as if he was thinking about something.

But Jaeyun let out a cruel laugh that sent chills down Miyeon's spine and smiled psychotically at her. Miyeon felt something different about Jaeyun. This wasn't the Jaeyun she loved. This was a monster.

Miyeon tried to run back up but before Miyeon could do anything Jaeyun lunged at her.
