It's already 9:00 pm

y/n was working on her table. She was late today and also she has so much work piled up. But then She noticed a shadow behind her and felt a familiar presence.

She turned around and saw Taehyung standing there, holding a cup of hot coffee.

He smiled at her softly.

Taehyung : Working late again?

He asked, handing her the cup of coffee.
Y/n blushed and took the coffee from him.

She couldn't help but feel nervous. His mere presence made her heart race, but she tried her best to shake it off and act professional.

Y/n: Thanks for the coffee

she said softly, taking a sip.

Y/n: Actually , there is an important meeting tomorrow due to which this work must be completed tonight..

Taehyung glanced at her work piling up on her desk.

Taehyung : I see, you've been working hard

he said with a small smile.

Taehyung : Mind if I help you?

Y/n: Oh No, you don't have to do that. You must be busy as well..

Taehyung : No

Taehyung insisted, already pulling up a chair beside her.

Taehyung : Two heads are better than one, right?

Y/n: But..

Taehyung: No but..

Y/n sighed then nodded her head.

Hours passed as they worked together, exchanged ideas and shared laughter.

With each passing minute, Y/n felt her heart grow fonder for him. She loved the way he would run his hands through his hair when he struggled to understand certain points of the report. She loved how he would make her laugh.

Taehyung pov

He couldn't help but notice how adorable she was when she was focused on her work. Every time she bit her lip or furrowed her brow, his heart skipped a beat.

He kept stealing glances at her, enjoying the way her eyes sparkled when she solved a problem or the way her cheeks flushed when he teased her.

As they worked, he found himself wanting to reach out and hold her hand or fix her hair that had fallen on her face.

But then he reminded himself to remain professional even when all he wanted to do was sweep her into his lap and kiss her.

As the night progressed, he found himself drawn to her more and more and it was becoming increasingly difficult to resist.

Taehyung knew the risks, but his desire for her was overpowering.

He wanted to know if she feels the same way..

Time skip

After hours of working together, the work was finally done. Taehyung looked at his watch and realized that it's already midnight. They had spent the entire night working together.

Y/n looked exhausted but satisfied, a small smile playing on her lips.

Y/n: I can't believe we actually finished all the files..

she said, stretching her arms.

Y/n: Thank you for helping me Taehyung. I couldn't have done it if you weren't here with me..

Taehyung's heart fluttered at her words, he looked into her eyes and smiled warmly.

The atmosphere between them was quite as they were looking at each other. His desire for her was growing stronger.

He wanted to tell her about his feelings for her..

Taehyung: Y/n..

He called her softly

Taehyung: There's something I wanted to tell you..

She looked at him. Her heart was beating with nervousness..

Y/n: what is it? Taehyung..

Taehyung took a deep breath before continuing..He leaned in closer to her, their faces inches apart.

Taehyung : I can't keep denying this any longer..

he said softly, his eyes searching hers.

Taehyung : I have feelings for you, Y/n. And I know it's not professional or appropriate, but I can't shake this feeling I get when I'm around you..

Y/n could feel her heart was beating so fast. She had dreamt of this moment, of hearing those words from him. But at the same time, she was confused.

Y/n: Mr.Kim..

she began, her voice shaking slightly.

Y/n: You're my boss. This... this is forbidden..

Taehyung knew she was right. He knew the risks they could face, but the emotions and feeling for her was too strong to ignore. He couldn't keep pretending or to keep his feelings hidden.

Taehyung : Y/n, I know we're not supposed to do this, but I can't help how I feel. I want to be with you, even if it means breaking every rule at this company..

he said. his voice low and determined

Y/n: Then what about Seoyun?

He paused for a moment before answering

Taehyung: We broke up

Hearing that y/n's eyes widened in surprise

Y/n: What? When?

Taehyung: it's almost a year i guess..

Taehyung: Y/n..

His voice filled with emotion as he called out to her

Y/n: I don't know.. What will the coworkers think of the Boss - secretary relationship...?

Taehyung sighed

Taehyung : I know there will be talk, rumors, and judgment from others, but I don't care.

He took her hands in his, his touch sending shivers down her spine.

Taehyung : All I care about is being with you. I can't just ignore how I feel..

He was holding her hand gently while looking into her eyes

Taehyung : I understand your concerns,
Y/n. But I promise you, no matter what comes our way, I will protect you. As a CEO of the company.. you can trust me.

Taehyung's determined words melted
Y/n's heart . He had always been someone she admired and respected, but she never once thought he could have feelings for her.

Taehyung gently cupped her face in his hands, his eyes locking with hers.

Taehyung : I know this is risky, but I'm willing to take that chance. Are you?

Y/n felt her heart pounding in her chest. She knew the consequences, but the pull towards him was too strong.

She finally nodded, her voice barely above a whisper.

Y/n: Yes, Taehyung..

Y/n: I'm willing to take the chance if it's meant to be with you.
