Before Kyung could lift Sol up, the unmistakable sound of screeching tires echoed down the street. Sunjae's car pulled up, and the driver's side door slammed open. He stormed toward them, eyes locked on Kyung, his expression unreadable except for the anger flickering beneath it.

"Get away from her!" Sunjae's voice was low and furious as he grabbed Sol's arm, pulling her toward him.

Kyung stood firm, stepping in between them. "She was alone and drunk in the middle of the street. What was I supposed to do, just leave her there?"

Sunjae's jaw tightened as he positioned Sol behind him. "And you just happened to be there, didn't you? Convenient."

"Convenient? You think I wanted to see her like this?" Kyung's fists clenched at his sides, his voice rising with frustration. "You're the one who's ruined everything."

Sunjae's eyes flashed with jealousy and anger. "You're the one who should shut up, Kyung! You're not listening. You're just trying to play the martyr here."

Kyung's face hardened. "I'm not trying to play anything. I'm just saying—"

"Shut up!" Sunjae shouted, cutting him off. "I don't want to hear anything from you. You've done enough."

Kyung's expression shifted, his concern for Sol clear despite his anger. "I'm trying to tell you, she tried to forget you because she wanted to save you. She saw you with another girl, Sunjae. She's been through so much."

Sunjae's confusion only fueled his rage. He swung his fist, connecting with Kyung's jaw, sending him staggering back.

Kyung barely had time to recover before Sunjae grabbed him by the collar, shoving him against the wall. "You don't get to lecture me about what she's been through. Not after everything you've done."

Sol's voice cut through the chaos, weak and pleading. "Stop... please... just stop..."

Sunjae's grip on Kyung's collar tightened, his face a storm of fury and disbelief. "I'm not letting you turn this around on me. She's mine, and you need to stay away."

Kyung's eyes remained on Sol, a mix of regret and frustration in his gaze. He spoke softly, though his voice still carried a hint of bitterness. "I only wanted what was best for her. If you can't understand that, then maybe you're not the one she needs."

Sunjae's vision blurred with anger and confusion, but he had had enough. He let go of Kyung's collar and stepped back, tears of frustration mingling with his sweat and blood.

Sol, trembling and sobbing, stepped between them, her voice breaking. "Please... I can't... I can't do this."

Kyung, watching them with a mix of regret and longing, felt the weight of the night's events settle heavily on his shoulders. Despite his own feelings, he knew that Sol's well-being was what mattered most now.

Sol took a shaky breath as she wiped the remaining tears from her face, her eyes heavy from the alcohol, the chaos of the night, and the weight of her heart. Sunjae stood by, his face tense, watching her with an intensity that made her chest tighten even more.

"You're coming with me," Sunjae said, his voice low but firm, stepping closer to her. "You've had too much to drink, and you're not in any state to go anywhere by yourself."

Sol shook her head, swaying a little but staying firm. "I'll call my brother," she slurred slightly, raising her hand to her forehead. Her makeup was smudged, her hair tousled from everything that had happened. "I need to go home alone."
