The set bustled with activity as crew members adjusted lights, positioned props, and prepped for the next scene. Sol stood near the edge, distracted, her gaze drifting toward the horizon as her thoughts swirled. The fallout from the last few days weighed heavily on her, and her heart raced every time she thought about Sunjae and Kyung's confrontation. It was all too much.

Suddenly, her pulse quickened for another reason—Kyung.

He was standing there, just behind the commotion, as if he'd appeared out of nowhere. His expression was tense, and Sol knew the confrontation she'd dreaded had finally arrived. She closed her eyes briefly, steadying herself before meeting his gaze.

"What the hell are you doing here?" she snapped, crossing her arms, the fury rising in her chest before Kyung even had a chance to speak. "I told you to stay away from us. Now look what you've done."

Kyung, though visibly frustrated, tried to remain calm. His hands were tucked in his pockets, his voice measured. "I'm sorry," he said, but the bitterness in his tone betrayed the sincerity of his words. "I was just trying to—"

"Trying to what?" Sol cut in sharply, her words biting. "Trying to fix things? You didn't fix anything. You made it worse. You should've stayed away like I asked. Why did you have to tell him everything? If you really wanted to 'help,' why not just show him a video—if you even had one?"

Kyung sighed, looking down briefly before meeting her gaze again, anger flashing in his eyes. "I don't have a video, Sol. I told him because he needed to hear the truth—from me."

"The truth? You think you're the one he needed to hear it from?" Her voice was cold. "You're unbelievable. You just couldn't stand it, could you? Couldn't stand the idea of me marrying Sunjae."

Kyung's jaw tightened, his bitterness spilling out. "Marrying him? Sol, are you out of your mind? Sunjae of all people? After everything—"

"Yes, after everything!" Sol's voice rose, the anger that had been simmering inside her now boiling over. "Why do you even care, Kyung? You walked out of my life almost a decade ago, disappeared without a word, and now you come back to destroy everything? Why? Am I some kind of joke to you?"

Kyung's face darkened, his shoulders stiffening. "A joke? You think this is a joke to me?" He took a step closer, his voice low but filled with emotion. "I left because you still loved him, Sol. You never stopped. You said his name in your sleep. You whispered it in bed. Every time I looked at you, it wasn't me you were thinking about."

Sol's eyes widened in disbelief, her voice dripping with contempt. "That's why you left? It took you almost a decade to tell me that?" She shook her head, incredulous. "You didn't even have the guts to tell me. You just disappeared."

"What was I supposed to say?" Kyung's voice cracked, but he held his ground. "That every time we were together, I felt like I was chasing a ghost? You couldn't let him go, even when you were with me."

Sol shook her head, her anger intensifying. "You're a coward, Kyung. You could've told me. You could've at least given me a chance to understand. But instead, you ran. You ran because it was easier than facing the truth."

Kyung flinched at her words, the accusation cutting deep. "I didn't run because it was easier. I ran because staying meant slowly dying inside, Sol. Every day, pretending like I was enough when I knew I never would be."

Sol's eyes welled with unshed tears, but her voice remained steady, even as it trembled with emotion. "And now? Now you've come back to break us apart? Because what? You need closure? You need to feel better about what happened?"
