Courtney's POV
"So what do we need to talk about?" I heard my dad say as I felt my bed shift from sitting down.
"Leave me alone." I said.
"Honey, your papa and I are concerned. He thinks you hate him and I know that's not the case."
"I d-don't hate him. I hate school." I said and started to cry as I turned to face my head.
"What happened? I'm sure it can't be that bad."
"Some in my school boys were making fun of Darcy, but also me and the boys because we have two dads."
"Is that all?"
"No, without repeating what they said, they basically said Darcy was easy and she slept around. T-they w-were gonna see if I was the same way, but a teacher was coming and they ran off." Courtney cried into her pillow. I made her dust up and hugged her as she sobbed into my chest.
"What they said about your sister is not true. You are not the same way either. Some guys are just mean, I really hate that this is happening dear, but your father thinks you hate him again."
"I don't. I just know he's a lot more sensitive and I don't want to bother him." I cried.
"I'll tell to your father about online school or home schooling, but you need to start talking to your dad. It upsets him when you only talk to me." My dad Harry said.
"I-I'll try." I sniffled.
I heard the front door slam.
"Papa, dad? I'm home!"
"Go see how Darcy's day was. I'll be fine." I said. My dad gave me a hug and kissed the top of my head. He went to leave but stopped as he opened the door.
"Your dad and I both love you and your siblings and we just want was is best for you, so try not to shut your dad out. He cares about you just like I do." A few minutes later, my dad Louis came in and sat by me.
"Courtney I-"
"I don't hate you."
"What?"
"I don't hate you if that's what you think. I do love you and papa, it's just I know you're more sensitive than he is. I didn't want to burden you with my school problems."
"You could never do that. I mean I know I am more sensitive than your dad, but I really wish you would talk to me more. It hurts when you come home from school and barely say a word to me."
"I'm sorry. I'll try and do better, but I don't know if I want to go to public school anymore." I said.
"What do you mean?"
"Papa suggested home school or online school." I said.
"We'll talk about this weekend. Now why were you upset?"
"Just some issues with some boys."
"Okay," dad sighed. "I hope you'll open up to me more eventually." Dad said and I hugged him tightly as if to say I would, I just wasn't ready yet.
"Alright, let's get ready for um dinner." My dad said and kissed my head and began to walk out.
"Dad?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you." I said and could see by his facial expression that I made his day and he walked out. I collapsed on my bed and screamed into my pillow. I then got up to shower and then put some pajamas on. I then put my glasses on and head downstairs to see Darcy and my brothers already at the table as my papa Harry sat the last dish down. I honestly wasn't that hungry, but knew I wouldn't hear the end of it if I didn't eat.
Once the table was set, everyone followed their plate except me. I just grabbed some bread and vegetables.
"Thats's all you're going to eat dear?l my dad Harry said.
"Yeah I'm not that hungry." I said and took a few bites.
"You have to eat something my dad Louis said concerned.
"I'm fine. This is good. I'm not that hungry." I said.
"Want me to make you something else?" Papa Harry said and I shook my head. I put my fork down as my siblings talked.
"They have sports week this week at school! We can try different sports this week to see if we want to sign up for any." Darcy said and I chucked.
"What's so funny?" Darcy said.
"Oh plead, the only sport I see you going out for is cheer leading and that's not even a sport." I said.
"That's not true!"
"Whatever. It's probably the only sport you're good at anyway." I said.
"Enough you two!" Papa shouted.
Darcy and I then shut it. I didn't mean to shout at her I just had a lot of frustration in me.
"What about you two?"
"I want for go out for soccer!" William said
"Sports aren't for me, I want to join music club and drama." Mason said.
"I'm sure you two will do great."
"Can I be excused?" I asked. I really didn't want to hear any of this."
"Are you sure you don't want anything else?" You barely ate.
"I'm sure."
"Alright. You're excused." My papa Harry said and I ran upstairs and went to sleep hoping the weekend would just hurry up and start.
