Chapter 6 - Replacing the demon out

Third person POV

  A few days later, at a class for the soldiers of the Imperial Demon Army, Atsushi and Yuichiro got low marks on their recent tests. Atsushi pretended to be disappointed at this while Yuichiro was so disappointed for real. And then, Yuichiro got into a fight with a boy named Kimizuki. Seeing made Atsushi shocked, and he immediately and silently prayed for Yuichiro's personal peace.

  But then, Guren came and saw that and used his demon weapon's power to not just stop their fight but also to test the students' endurance as well. Everyone in the classroom, including Sayuri, was overwhelmed by it and tried their best to endure. But then, they, including Yuichiro and Kimizuki, gave up and collapsed to the floor. But Atsushi, with Dahon's help, managed to withstand it until the end. After that, Guren decided that all of them, except for Sayuri because she is more like a teacher, had passed his test and allowed them to try the Black Demon series of weapons.

  So, shortly after, Guren took them to the ceremony hall. There he told them the instructions on how to be in a contract with the demons of those weapons. After that, Atsushi and his friends got that and split up to choose their Black Demon weapons. After a little bit of finding, Atsushi found a pair of dual axes and grabbed on them, according to the memory of the anime back in his previous life.

 And so, Atsushi and Dahon were brought into a void to meet up with the demon of that weapon. The demon then examined Atsushi's life and childhood, but it found that it was not just that his memories were good and nice, but also, those memories were added with the memories from Atsushi's previous life. So, the demon couldn't make a contract with the boy. Atsushi now thinks that it was a good waste of his effort of getting that Black Demon weapon and has two options: abandon that weapon, or make a contract with that demon and let it be with Dahon. But, Dahon had an idea of his own so Atsushi didn't have to abandon his plan of getting that said weapon.

 "Then, who are you, boy?" the demon asked Dahon.

And then, in response to that, Dahon approached the demon and punched him with his wind spirit power, much to Atsushi's surprise.

  "What is wrong with you?" the demon asked Dahon upon being punched by Dahon.

  "Shut up," Dahon coldly replied, before summoning a sword made of his spirit power, "this one is mine."

He then stabbed the demon in the heart causing it to disintegrate into pieces.

  "What the...?" Atsushi was stunned with shock.

Before the demon would disappear from the void, Dahon grabbed it and absorbed and stole its power so he could disguise himself as a demon to everyone.

Atsushi was in awe to see his spirit guardian doing such an unorthodox way of solving such a dilemma.

Then, Dahon had all of the demon's powers for himself, and that demon disappeared into nothing.

After that, Dahon looked at him with a demon-and-spirit look in his eyes. "Now, this weapon is mine."

The spirit guardian then dissipated his sword into nothing.

Because of this, Atsushi was rather amazed, seeing how Dahon had solved his dilemma well and radically. "Grabe, sobrang astig, kapatid!" he said to Dahon with enthusiasm. Dahon then nodded at him, before he and Atsushi shared a fist bump.

Then, as a result, back to reality, Atsushi managed to grab and wield the dual axes with strength, much to his amazement. Guren was positive about his effort. "Very good, Atsushi-kun. It seems that weapon had chosen you."

Atsushi then looked at him positively in disguise. "Yes, thank you, Guren-san."
