Chapter 3 - A vampire in the school?!

Third person POV

  Later on, Yuichiro came back with snacks and drinks because he was forced by Yamanaka and his friends to buy them for them. Yoichi was with him, and Atsushi was with him carrying some of them for him. ...

Yuichiro was annoyed by Atsushi getting involved in this. "Why are you here, Atsushi-kun?"

  "What, I want to help you," replied Atsushi back.

  "Thanks for helping us, Nakayama-san," Yoichi responded to Atsushi positively.

  "Yeah, anytime, Yoichi-kun," Atsushi happily replied.

  Later after that, Yoichi revealed to Yuichiro and Atsushi his backstory of losing a loved one to a vampire. Atsushi felt bad for him for pretending, knowing that fact in the story back in his previous life already.

And then, an explosion occurred, and the school announced that a vampire had escaped in the school's lab, much to their alert. "Wait, what?" Atsushi became alert.

  "A vampire had escaped, Atsushi," Dahon, a human-like figure with black hair and red eyes.

Atsushi heard him saying that but assumed that as nothing more than a voice in his head.

  And so, as Yuichiro ran to eliminate the threat, Atsushi ran after him. "Wait up, Yuichiro-kun!" Yoichi then went after him, too, while Shinoa was annoyed by their intended recklessness. Along the way, Yuichiro stopped by some lockers to get his weapon. Atsushi has no idea which locker contained his weapon, which is a hontou-tachi. Yuichiro saw him and opened one of the lockers that contained his said weapon.

  "This one, you dumb-dumb," he said to Atsushi.

As Yoichi caught up with them, Atsushi noticed the open locker and grabbed his weapon under the assumption that it was his.

  And so, both he and Yuichiro went to the place where the explosion took place and ended up in the classroom where the vampire from the lab was. Yuichiro was confident that he could eliminate her. Atsushi, meanwhile, remained serious and alert. And then, the vampire grabbed a chair and threw it at them. Yuichiro dodged it, while Atsushi managed to do so thanks to Dahon's guidance. The vampire escaped the scene, prompting the two boys to chase after her. The chase continued on for a little bit, before Yuichiro managed to tackle her to the ground, much to Atsushi's surprise and chagrin.

  Having managed to catch his target, Yuichiro tried to stab her with his sword, but it didn't do any damage to her, and that vampire then strangled him to kill him. Atsushi managed to see that and was shocked, so he jumped and tried to kill her. It didn't work either, and the vampire kicked him in the stomach in response. Atsushi was flown back a few meters away but managed to get up fast thanks to Dahon's healing for him. And then, Guren appeared and stabbed the vampire with his weapon, reducing her into nothing. Yuichiro was saved, and Atsushi was happy for him, praying silently to thank God for saving his friend.
