Chapter 2- Max?

Adrien: Why? Why did you save me?

Maximus: Why not, it was the right thing to do.

Adrien: What is going to happen now?

Maximus: It's fairly simple, just stay quiet and let me do the talking once we reach.

I peeked outside through the glass window only to see large walls, large white ones with massive jewels implanted, we reached the large white door which was beautifully engraved with a flowery design and smaller gems; at each side of the gates stood large knights, they were both equal in size, rough that of a bear, and were shiny white armor who checked us let us enter the royal kingdom, the heart of Tenshi.

Shortly after, we made it to the royal castle and were allotted a room before meeting the king. As we got into our rooms Adrein was a bit hesitant at first but later, slept like a baby, on the other hand, I went to take a bath; oh that felt heavenly, the water was warmed to perfection and each drop soothed my tired and aching muscles; Adrien was still asleep, it must have been hard for him, not that I care but he seems to be useful. I wore my new clothes and got to work.

After sleeping for what felt like forever, I woke up alone in the room, did Max just leave me? Am I to die at this age, I quickly got off the bed and ran down the hallways in search of Max, I asked everyone I passed by but to no avail, I finally found a large golden door and rushed in, I had finally found Max.

Adrien: huff...huff, Where the hell were you Maximus?

Maximus (bows down): Forgive me, your majesty.

Adrien: Huh

... (smiles): So this is him.

Adrien: (who was this guy, his stare gave me the creeps, and not just the normal ones, I meant actual, spine-chilling, fear-striking creeps, with a smile on his face he walked closer towards me and finally said...)

...: So, how's life in Conmoditas.

Adrien: huh?

Max: Your majesty, with all due respect, the prince has been under the weather lately and all this travel has also taken a serious toll on his health, so, I ask your permission to leave.

...: Granted, but before you go, allow me to introduce myself, my name is Edward Tenshi, Emperor of Tenshi

Max: It is an honor to be in your presence, your majesty.

Edward: Guards, escort the prince to his chamber, Maximus, you stay here.

I knew exactly what was going on here, Edward Tenshi, ruler of The Tenshi Empire who claimed to be direct descendants of angels, but is it true? I don't know, why did he ask me to stay, let's find out.

Max: Not much, (except me being a part of it)

Edward (smirks): Hmm, well they are a clan of devils, vile creatures that feed on blood and the fear of their enemies.

Max (sarcastically): gasps... that's scary.

Edward: Indeed they are, my child; you may not know but the demonic emperor Vladimir is hell-bent on ending you, this is because you are special and prove to be a nuisance for him, but fret not, for I shall protect you, I shall help you reach your potential Maximus, train you to be the best, this is a promise, not only of an emperor but also of a grandfather's.
