At the campsite, the morning bustle filled the air as everyone packed up for the return journey. Elina walked toward the bus with her team. Clara, noticing her slightly distant expression, asked curiously, "Ms. Elina, where were you last night? We couldn't find you."

Elina blinked, momentarily caught off guard. She couldn't possibly tell them the truth. "Oh," she began, her tone light and casual, "I was just taking a walk by the river to clear my head. Must have lost track of time." She lied effortlessly, offering a small smile she hoped would pass for convincing. "You know how these trips can get overwhelming."

Her teammates nodded, accepting her vague explanation without a second thought. They all boarded the bus, and soon the engine purred to life. Elina chose a seat by the window, letting the cool breeze drift in. She sighed quietly in relief, leaning back into her seat as the bus began its journey. Closing her eyes, she hoped to slip into sleep and leave the confusion of last night far behind.

Hours later, Elina was back in the comfort of her own home. She dropped her bags by the door and headed straight to the bathroom. Sliding into the warmth of the bathwater, relief washed over her tired body. But as she relaxed, her mind flashed back to the kiss. Her breath hitched, and her eyes flew open in surprise. She sat up abruptly, water splashing over the edge of the tub.

"What the hell am I thinking about?!" she thought, startled at herself. It had to be the stress, right? She tried to convince herself it was all just part of her imagination, struggling to recall exactly what had happened the previous night. With a deep breath, she sank her head beneath the water, hoping to calm her racing thoughts.

Meanwhile, Kevin sat in the back of the car, watching the city pass by through the tinted windows. His fingers brushed lightly over his lips as a faint smile played across his face. The memory of last night was bittersweet—sweet because of the kiss, bitter because of the uncertainty that followed. As the city whizzed by, he couldn't help but think of their first kiss all those years ago. He hadn't been able to sleep that night either. He chuckled softly, wondering how different things might have been if they had stayed together.

His thoughts were interrupted by Liam's voice from the front. "Sir, Mr. Lucas is landing soon," he reminded, breaking Kevin's reverie.

Kevin straightened up, nodding as he adjusted his expression. "Fine. You can head back after dropping me at the airport," he replied. Liam nodded and continued driving. Just then, Kevin's phone buzzed with a notification. He glanced at it, rolling his eyes before sighing and looking back out the window, letting his thoughts drift once more.

Time Skip

It was noon by the time they reached, Kevin stepped out of the car, his eyes naturally wandering to a large billboard in the distance. His gaze lingered on it for a moment, a sense of confusion washing over him. The man in the advertisement looked familiar, but Kevin couldn't immediately place him. As he furrowed his brows, trying to recall, Liam followed his gaze.

Liam noticed another advertisement right beside it and chuckled to himself, trying to stifle his laughter. He turned to Kevin. "Are you perhaps thinking of freezing your eggs?" he asked, grinning widely.
