i watched in horror as Mother enjoyed torturing my uncle. "Enough Mother!" i yelled at her. "we get it, you won."
She gazed at me. "Oh, darling Astraea, how are the wounds on your back?" she asked with a laugh, her tone mocking.
"Gone, thanks to Robin," I replied, casting a glance at Helena, who could restrain others, and Milena, who could neutralize magic, as well as the robin that could amplify their powers. I kept Mother occupied while they worked their magic. "Let Uncle Alexander go, Mother. Do you really plan to kill all of us?"
"i killed your brothers and sisters didn't i?" she smiled. "there should only be three of you left by now."
"Three?" I asked, horrified. "What do you mean?"
"Oh, that's right," she laughed, driving her dagger into my uncle's shoulder. "some of my cultists should be in your little dragon palace now, dealing with those you left behind."
"no." i muttered, looking to father who had his fists clenched.
mother moved to stab her brother but froze midair. "what the hell?" she hissed.
i looked to Robin and he gave a nod, "we cannot hold this for long."
"you really think that you can kill me like this?" Mother cackled mischievously, "None of you have the balls."
"We dont attend on killing you." father told her. "we want to free you from this pain."
"pain?" mother questioned, still unable to move. "i am not in pain."
"But you are my sister," Alexander said, pain evident in his voice. "You told me so yourself; you asked me to save you."
"i also asked you to kill me." mother spat out. "but as you can see, im not dead. the only way you can kill me is by killing yourself."
"and i was willing to do that." Alexander started to tear up. "i was willing to do anything for you."
i looked back to Althaeon. "now Althie!"
he stood to his feet, his hands glowing a brilliant violet color. the god appeared in front of mother, still in his child-like appearance.
"you brought a child to deal with me?" mother laughed.
"have you done all that i have asked?" the god asked Althaeon who was now sitting on the floor.
"We have," he answered. "more of us have died then expected, but it is done and we are all ready."
"Good." the god smiled, turning back to my mother. "you sure have done an awful number on those you care for. just remember that none of this was your fault, you have only me to blame." he placed his hand on her forehead, she begun to scream in pain as power of all colors flowed into him.
he glanced back at us, "any who are excepting these powers step forward, i will make sure Alexander gets some as well."
Stepping forward was myself, Serenity, Angel, Helena, Christian, Milena, Amethyst, Sebastian, Valenor, Thalira, and Calista. that is all who were left from this battle of Darken blood.
"we need one more." the god spoke.
"will i do?" i turned to see one of the cultists step forward, pulling down his cloak.
"it cant be." father muttered, pulling his sword.
"hes fine." Alexander managed to get out, "he is not my father, hes the one who killed the cult leader for us."
"Then he will do." the god agreed. "hold out your hands."
we did as told and as he tore power from mother her sent it into our hands. i could feel its warmth grow within my body. He then walked over to Alexander and gave him some of the power, the same for Althaeon who Violet was helping walk over.
Once finished, mother collapsed to the floor, not dead, but unconscious. her hair was no longer golden, but the same yellow-blonde as the rest of us.
Robin rushed to Alexander and healed his wounds.
"We did it." i said, looking at the bodies around us, "but at what cost?"
Mother began to move, we all stood still as she ripped the helmet from her head, throwing it on the floor as she sat up, her eyes were violet once more. "what have i done?"
i rushed to mothers side, calming her emotions, "we cant have you freaking out, not now."
The good then looked at mother. "Alexandria Darken, what has happened is of no fault of your own. it is my own. i allowed the dragons to be able to be reborn, i then allowed powers to be built up. i did not expect that they would create an evil force as it has. i have stopped the Darkens ability to be reborn, your family are too powerful as is. As an apology, i will bring back one Darken of your choice, restoring their soul and body fully."
Mother looked around the room, her gaze landing on Lunar and Thorne, then looking back at the god. "if i chose just one of my children to bring back it would not be fair to the others. would it be possible to bring back two non Darkens instead of one Darken?"
"i will allow it." he gave a nod, "who do you have in mind?"
she glanced at Alexander who seemed to know what she was thinking and he gave her a nod. she looked back to the god. "one of them has been by my side since the beginning, he never deserved what i had done to him, i would like to bring back Carlisle Bellissimo."
"Then it will be done," The god gave a nod, wispy white lights flying from his hand as the naked body of Carlisle. Alexander quickly took the cloak he was wearing off and rushed to Carlisle, covering him.
Carlisle scanned the room and then noticed Lunar, who had collapsed to his knees. He hurried to his husband's side and threw himself into his arms.
The god looked back to mother. "who is the second?"
"The second is the wife to my closest friend." she answered. "someone who died way before her time, Lilliana Thornvale."
the god gave a nod, "then it shall be done." he hand glowed once again, Lilliana appearing naked in front of us. this time the one who looked like my grandfather threw his own cloak over her.
"what the." Lilliana looked around. "i was dead right?" she spotted Thorne and rushed into his arms, both sobbing.
"Now." the god spoke once more. "Alexandria Darken, i am afraid that i must leave now, i cannot stop what those you love choose to do to you from here."
"thats okay." mother spoke. "i deserve whatever they chose to do to me, i will accept their decision."
"that is why we wanted you to join us." the god smiled, "as always you are as graceful as can be. if you ever change your mind and wish to be a true god, do not hesitate to contact us. i have left you with your chosen powers, and a small amount of the others you once had. you will not be able to take on any more powers."
"thank you." she bowed her head to the god. "i am sorry for everything." with that the god was gone.
