Y/N'S POV / 4 years later
I continue flipping the pancakes i've been attempting to make all morning, hoping that this set doesn't,
a) end up on the floor
b) turn out burnt'James baby, i'd really appreciate it if you let go of my leg just while i'm dealing with hot food, okay?'
looking down at my son, who has no features of mine and is a complete mini Shawn - even down to the front curl in the shape of an "S".
'J leave your mum alone, she's making my breakfast.'
A grumbly voice says from the other side of the kitchen. I hear giggling from behind me, Shawn picks up James and rushes him towards the playroom - the house now echoing of laughter. Shawn comes rushing back, now behind me before wrapping his arms around my waist and leaning his face into my shoulders.
'Mmm, something smells good.' He murmurs into my neck.
'Yeah - you think? i added some blueberry's into-'
'not the pancakes, you.'
He muzzles himself into my neck, i can quite literally feel his grin pressed up against me.
Four years ago tomorrow, i told Shawn about James, told him I was pregnant - between us we make it a 'thing' to celebrate the day. It's the day that united us back together, brought us back to what we were, showed us how much we loved eachother. It's a special day - maybe even more important than our anniversary (not a wedding one JUST yet). We aren't even sure what ours would be anyway - we've known each other for ever.
I couldn't be happier, our wedding planning begins in January, James will be 4 and we're planning to move to Canada. Everything worked out in the end.
And today? Well today i get to celebrate something else pretty special.

hey guys, only a small chap, if this does get some votes i'll post the second part to the finale.
it's funny coz writing this kinda got me in my feels, made me want to remove the last few chapters and properly continue it with effort. But the book is past the worth of effort at that level now i think. So very bittersweet for me! :")
anyways, hope you're all streaming 'nobody knows' and have 'SHAWN' pre-saved xx
