Damnit, I forgot the blade had cut her. Her powers aren't going to return before she hits the ground, so until then. She's mortal. I needed to save her. As of now, her clock states she has a minute to live, I have to reach her. I breeze over to her in the air and grab her arm. 50 seconds left. I bring her in close and hold her tightly. 40 seconds left. Time began to feel as if it were slowing down after that. Dianne a woke and looked around, seeing us in free fall. She tried to use her powers, but as predicted, no success. She looked at my wing and saw it was dislocated "Collin, what are you doing?" I opened my wings and wrapped her body "Returning the favor" I said with a tear in my eye. 30 seconds left. By now we reached skyscraper hight and I was able to see my reflection. The timer had disappeared from Dianne's head and now appeared over me. Dianne banged my chest "Collin don't, you'll die" I opened my wings just enough so I could look at her one last time. Her long dark hair was frizzled. Her pale skin was covered in dirt. Her eyes were flooding with tears "Dianne for the first time in my life, you, this journey we've been on, has taught me more about myself then anything else in the entire world, If I'm gonna die, at least I'm gonna die with a good sense of self. You saved my life, now it's time I repay that ten fold" Dianne did not say a word. Because she knew nothing she'd say would sway me from not doing this. 20 seconds left. They say as you reach the end, your life flashes before your eyes. And I'd have to agree. As I fell, I thought of my mom, I thought of my friends. I thought of those nightmares. I thought of fighting the Liche last year. I thought of Grim and him coming to our show. I guess I'll never know what his announcement was gonna be or why he wanted me here. I thought of when I first met Dianne. I thought of the battle in the council chambers. I thought of my dance with Dianne. I thought of my near death experience. It feels nice to know that those visions will never happen, even though some parts of them still remain a mystery like the weapons or the purple comets. As all those questions and memories filled my mind, tears ran down my face peering through my bird mask. Even a smile crossed my face. Thinking back, I lived a pretty good life. I just didn't know it until the end. By the time the counter had reached 10 seconds, I began to close my eyes.

9 seconds, bye mom.

8 seconds, bye Grim.

7 seconds, bye Director

6 seconds, bye my friends

5 seconds *CRACK BOOM* Wait what is that?

4 seconds, I look up in the sky and see a giant crack

3 seconds, something bright blast towards me.

2 seconds, it's connects to my back.

By one second, I'm floating right above the ground, being held by the mysterious object. It looked like a glass shard of some kind. Slowly it dissolved into my being and a warmth entered my chest. Suddenly my body began to glow and morph. Looking into the reflection of a building, my wings had turned into matching glass shards and my mask was gone, now was a dark void of a face like grims.

I was wearing this brown and silver armor and the shards that surrounded me glew a radiant blue. A thought in the back of my mind told me to reach out my arm. I did so and Suddenly, I heard something soar towards me *BAM* landing in my hand was my scythe, now looking alot like the blue scythe from my dream. I looked at Dianne and saw a look of total shock and awe. Whatever this was, it was something incredibly strange. I flew to the ground and soon saw that my friends were waiting for me. They, like Dianne, had similar looks of shock "Guys your alright!" I said, still having a mix of demon and normal voice. Mac stepped forward now freed from Vecnas control "Dude, what the hell did I miss" He said amazed. *WHAM* Ashton slammed the door of the building he had crawled done and looked at me "Dude I saw you not even a minute ago, this is insane" Before I could respond, Laci and the witches came running over "COLLIN, it's the death gods, we- we can't free them" another thought reached out to me in my mind. Free them, it said. I bolted to the council chambers at faster speed then I'd ever had before. I could've been going faster a fighter jet. I arrived at the chambers and noticed a giant purple crystal that was attaching itself to the death gods, leaving them unconscious. I held my scythe tightly. I raised it up high and slashed down on the thing. The crystal gave out a hum of pain and began to glow brighter and brighter. I close my eyes for one second. And then it was gone. I floated down and scanned the room. Slowly, as everyone got up, my form changed back to my hood and mask. The final one to get up, was Grim. He stood up and scratched his head. Then he looked my way "Kid? Is that you?" I nodded in response. Grim laughed "HAHA You did it! And look at you! All the excitement must've activated the rest of your powers" Lucifer groaned "I guess the little worm had some uses after all" Mistress Death glared at me with disgust "Indeed" she said. Grim but a hand on my shoulder and said "But Collin, how did you do it?" I sighed "Thats kinda a long story" We began to hear clamoring from outside "Well, im sure the news will want to hear it too, come on this should be the perfect time to make my announcement" Grim said as he lead me outside to a crowd of people, waking up from Vecna's control.......
