Chapter Twenty Six: Super Buu!!

Nitrate loomed above the desert with a knowing shimmer in his crimson eyes. The escape of Majin Buu had not been mere luck or foolishness on the part of Nitrate, but rather the careful actions of a mindful Frost Demon wishing to maintain most of the character development without consequence.

He planned to stall the pink monster until Gohan could return with his new Ultimate Form, then he would keep to the side-lines while the child used his new abilities to finish Buu and save the Earth.

Naturally, the Icejin wanted to prevent killing the magical creation of Bibidi. However, there was a constant pressure forced upon him; not knowing how the future would change meant he couldn't respond to scenarios as well as he could before.

The silence continued, but was soon interrupted when a familiar sensation echoed in his mind. He looked towards the sky before grinning, reaching out with his mind to answer the universal call.

Nitrate: "King Kai, what is it?"

King Kai: "I wanted to check in. Have you found Majin Buu yet?"

Nitrate: "Nope. I might check some of the nearby cities, but I have my doubts that I'll find him."

The Arcosian lied through his teeth, feeling little regret as he shifted around to stare at the desert landmass. He could let Buu run around for a short time and build his home as he did in the original story; Gohan would be able to find him later..

King Kai: *sigh* "That's not good. Let me know if you find him; Gohan might not be needed if you unleash the rest of your power."

Nitrate: "Hmm...true...but he might become too weak if he refuses to take responsibility and fight against evil. I'll have to speak with him later on."

Both men shared a few more words, wishing each other well, and ended the communication before Nitrate rushed towards a random direction. There seemed to be an unnatural amount of Ki latching onto him, likely a result of his immense power in transforming into his 5th Form. He let out a sigh.

Nitrate: "I can do this....just need to let him get a little stronger, then Gohan can show up and we'll all go home. Just need to watch my step, here."

Majin Buu would be gone for some time, he knew this to be true. Hercule would soon follow behind him and attempt to 'save the planet' before his friendship with Buu would flourish. Nitrate could remain in the shadows and keep an eye on them.

The Ultimate Form could eliminate the monster even in his Super Buu transformation, but there remained the issue regarding Gohan's cockiness which needed to be addressed.

Nitrate pondered this for a moment as he flew to a random mountain near the forests and set himself down upon the grassy surface. He imagined that a life-threatening scenario would break through his arrogance and force him to mature, but there was still the issue regarding how, due to no fusion--

Like a bulb lighting up above his plated head, the Icejin looked down towards himself and began to cackle with glee; he did not require Vegito for the Gohan-maturity to come into fruition, all that was required was someone forcing him into a terrible situation where he required direct help.

Even Nitrate had his moments of pure genius.
