WHEN EVELYN WOKE UP, SHE WAS IN a hospital bed, in a gown with no sore head anymore.

Buck was in a chair, asleep beside her. Evelyn groaned, "Dad?"

Buck shot up from his seat at the voice, almost falling flat on his butt in the process, "baby, oh god. You're okay, they gave you stitches and you're good as new again."

Evelyn chuckled before Eddie walked in with a boy with crutches and glasses, he was a cute kid, "Hi Evie."

"Hi Eddie." Evelyn smiled, "Who's this?"

"This, is Chris. My son." Eddie smiled, sitting in the other seat on the other side of her bed.

"Hi Chris." Evelyn smiled.

"Hi Evelyn." Chris smiled, his voice was so sweet and his smile was so kind.

"How'd you know my name?" Evelyn giggled slightly, glancing at Buck who was also smiling.

"Dad talks about you and Buck all the time." Chris smiled, looking at Eddie then Buck.

Evelyn laughed, "Does he now? Good to know."

"Hey, you're a cool kid and your dad's cool as well." Eddie smiled.

A couple days later, Evelyn was finally out of the hospital but Buck had her on bed rest and because he was still worried about the stalker, Evelyn was either to go with Maddie to the call centre or to the fire station.

Today Evelyn was at the fire station, first Buck had to go to this security guard who got stuck between two walls, then they had to go off to some girl who got her head stuck in a tail pipe and Buck and Eddie came home late because apparently Eddie's Abuela got hurt and was in the hospital.

When Hen and Chim got back, they sat with Evelyn, "I don't understand why he's overprotective. It's not like I'd hurt myself."

"He's a single parent, Evie. He's only get you. He can't loose you so he'll do anything to keep you safe." Hen smiled, squeezing Evelyn's shoulder.

"Hen's right. Your dad loves you more than life itself." Chim smiled and Evelyn nodded.

"Hey! Evelyn!" Eddies voice echoed through the fire house so Evelyn stood up and looked over the banister.

Evelyn gasped with a large smile, "Christopher!"

"Hey Evie!" Chris smiled up at the girl. The father and son duo made their way up with Buck to where Chim, Hen and Evelyn already were.

According to Chris, Chim talks too much, which made everyone laugh and agree with him. Evelyn and Chris were sat either side of Eddie and Hen was sat in the arm of the sofa beside Evelyn while Chim was sat on the sofa chair with Buck in the arm of it.

"What's this?" Bobby smiled, walking over to the group, "I don't remember asking the chief for reinforcements. You any good with a hose, kid?"

"I can try." Chris smiled up at Bobby.

"All right." Booby nodded with a smile.

Eddie stood up, "So sorry, Cap. My aunt's trying to get off work early, but until then, I... I didn't know where to take him."

"Yeah, you did. Right here. I mean, we have Evelyn here like all the time to he's welcome anytime." Bobby nodded, "Besides Buck gave me a heads-up. I already cleared it up with the chief."

Eddie smiled down at Buck who nodded slightly before the bell went off. Buck walked over to his daughter who smiled, "Guess what?"

"What?" Evelyn smiled as Buck pulled her to stand up.

"You're coming with us." Buck smiled.

"I am?" Evelyn's smile beamed as Buck nodded. She quickly jumped on her dad's back who carried her down to the firetruck.

Buck was in the front of the truck with Bobby while the two kids, Eddie, Hen and Chim were in the back.

Chim tapped the headphones that he had on, "These are great, see 'cause we can talk to each other. Though sometimes I wish I had a mute button for Buck."

The trucks horn blared making Evelyn laugh before her father spoke, "Oh, I'm sorry, were you saying something?"

"You have a scar on your head." Chris pointed out, pointing at Chim's forehead.

"That's very observant, kid." Chim said, "I had an accident. Got a big metal rod stuck in my head, but the doctor took care of it. You ever had surgery?"

"Two times." Chris said softly.

"Actually, three times." Eddie smiled, holding up three fingers.

"Well, you got me beat." Chim said with a nod, "Now I feel kinda lame."

"Because you are." Hen smiled at the man next to her making Evelyn giggle slightly along with Chris and everyone else, "Your dad ever tell you why we call him Chimney?"

Chim shook his head, "No. No. No. No, no, no, no."

"I'll tell you the story later." Hen smiled before laughing.

When they got to the scene, Bobby stood with Chris, teaching him what went right and what the 118 were doing to help the people in the crash which Evelyn found really sweet.

Back at the station, everyone was having fun with Chris, laughing and playing around with him, including Evelyn until Eddie's aunt came to pick him up.
