THIRD PERSON POV

RILEY MADE her way to the science class which her and the athlete shared. it had been three days since the pair have spoken, not counting the unanswered messages riley had sent. lynn was far too stubborn to apologize. and riley couldn't bring herself to even talk to the girl.

riley's emotions had been all over the place. it hurt to see lynn in the hall acting like she didn't even exist anymore. she wanted nothing more than for her to apologize, she would forgive her in a heartbeat. maybe that was just out of her love for the girl.

the pair were still sat next to eachother in most of the classes. over the weekend riley had done the science project all by herself, nonetheless she still put down lynn's name. 'lynn loud jr & riley monroe' the project read, in reality there was no lynn and riley anymore.

riley's was lost in thought, thinking about a certain someone while walking through the halls, until she feels a weight crash into her left side. her project falling onto the ground, shattering, "shit." she immediately apologizes, looking up at the person.

it was a boy, his brown eyes staring back into her own ones, his hair a moppy mess, "what the fuck is wrong with- oh."

"look i said i'm sorry, it was an accident." the brunette softly spoke, people around the two were stealing glances at the situation. she bends down trying to fix her project that was now broken.

"here let me help," the boy spoke, bending down helping her, "i'm sorry for that, i wasn't paying attention."

"no it's okay, don't worry." the shorter girl spoke softly, sighing at the sight of her project. there was no fixing it in time.

"i'm sorry, it's ruined. hey how about i make it up to you? i'll take you out for dinner," he smiles charmingly, picking up pieces of riley's wind turbine.

"oh no thanks, it's okay." riley wasn't good at picking up signals, she had no idea the boy was asking her on a date.

he was taken aback by her words, trying to convince her nonetheless "come on, it'll be fun and we can get to know eachother."

"i'm actually grounded, i don't think now would be the best time." riley was still trying to pick up the remaining pieces of her project.

"then give me your number?" he smiles, taking out his phone, riley only shaking her head no, "what are you a lesbo?" his chuckle draining out in riley's head, her face dropping right then and there,

"i knew you hung around that sporty girl a lot, but i didn't know you got down like that," the boy jokes, "what, are you guys dating?"
