'How much longer is this going to take?..'.. She leaned back in the other desk chair, watching him as he was hunched over the computer, his fingers flying across the keyboard. She could see his focus on the middle screen of the three that were in front of him.
'Perfection takes time Red, look at you as an example..'...
'Quit with the suck up. I won't kill you while you're still useful..'.. She rolled her eyes, sliding the chair closer to his and leaning in to see what he was doing... 'For someone with a reputation of being fast on this, you're exceptionally slow..'
'You know how to do this shit, yet you came to me..'.. He scoffed, still not looking away... 'Not only am I creating a whole new identity for you, but twenty six years worth of information, edited photos, and doxing documents with false information? Sure, I'll get it done in the next sixty seconds..'
'Sixty seconds? No wonder you don't have sex, sounds like you're a disappointment..'.. She slid the chair away and stood, turning to the large table behind them, that was scattered with papers.
'Been a disappointment my whole life, its why I got the belt and beatings often from daddy dearest. Throw in the homo shit too, and it's a wonder I'm alive..'..
'Sob stories won't make me feel a damn thing for you..'.. She shuffled through the papers... 'I don't have a heart or emotions..'
'Yeah, red room will do that to you..'.. He murmured.
Enzo was wickedly smart, and a real genius when it came to creating identities. He had kept himself to the shadows since he had left his abusive home a decade ago, and had all the insider knowledge on former widows. He had been the one to give them a chance at a new life. She didn't even know he had existed, until one day, after her first red kill, did she get an anonymous text of a location. That's when he had shown up and offered her the chance to get out. She turned him down, but kept him on a line, he was useful.
'You find what I asked for?..'.. She glanced over her shoulder at him, seeing her face being edited on a photo.
'That kind of shit doesn't end up on digital, they'd have to have it as a paper trail, making sure no one knows or can find out..'.. He said, still working... 'It was only pure chance I found you Red, a coded message was sent out about you that I found, other than that, you don't exist..'
'Dreykov runs a tight ship..'.. She went back through the papers, her eyes scanning over them... 'I need to get close, I need to face him..'
'Completing your mission for him, or going off on your own? Either way is definitely going to get his attention. Whether you get to face him, I really don't know..'.. Enzo said... 'Considering you're doing this, starting to think you may actually have a heart after all..'
She spun and gripped his hair, yanking his head back as she pulled her knife and put it to his throat. He didn't even look scared as he stared up at her, just raised an eyebrow as if daring her to do it... 'Don't ever say shit like that again..'.. She nicked his neck for good measure and shoved him.
'You forgetting I know why..'.. He turned his chair to her, and pulled the bottom of his tshirt up to dab at the blood... 'They got out, because of you. You're the deadliest widow there is, a red widow. No one can do what you can. I've heard the whispers, the rumours. I know how far you've gone to prove your loyalty to the Room, to Dreykov. Red, I care about my girls, you're included in that. I don't help to get anything in return, I do it because it's the right thing to do. What you did for Romanov, shes out now being a hero cause of you..'
