1. the coffee incident

hyunjin was, as usual, running late. he rushed into the café, only to find his favorite spot taken—by you. you waved him over with a grin, sliding a second cup of coffee across the table.

"figured you might need this," you said casually.

hyunjin's heart did a little flip. you knew his coffee order? and got it for him? he took a sip, savoring not just the warmth, but the thought behind it. could it be that you had a crush on him?

2. the concert tickets

when hyunjin found two tickets to his favorite band's concert in his locker, he was floored. the note attached simply read, "thought you'd like this. - y/n."

all night at the concert, he kept glancing your way, trying to read between the lines. was this just a friendly gesture, or was there more to it?

3. the study sessions

you and hyunjin had been study partners for a while, but recently, he noticed you always sat a little closer, your shoulder just brushing his. one evening, while you both buried yourselves in textbooks, he caught you gazing at him, a soft smile on your lips.

"what's on your mind?" he asked, trying to sound nonchalant.

"nothing," you quickly replied, looking away. but hyunjin couldn't shake the feeling that your smile had a deeper meaning.

hyunjin's birthdays were usually low-key, but this year, you went all out. balloons, a homemade cake, and a gift that showed just how well you knew him. as he unwrapped it, his heart swelled with affection.

"thanks, y/n. this is really special," he said, pulling you into a hug.
you hugged him back, and he wondered if you could feel his heart racing. did you do all this because you liked him?

5. the late-night call

it was past midnight when hyunjin's phone buzzed. he answered, half-asleep, and heard your voice on the other end.

"sorry, did i wake you?" you asked, sounding a bit nervous

"no worries. what's up?" he replied, sitting up in bed.

"i just... needed to hear your voice," you admitted softly.

hyunjin's heart skipped a beat. why would you call him in the middle of the night just to hear his voice? it was hard not to think that maybe, just maybe, you had feelings for him.

after weeks of overthinking every interaction, hyunjin decided it was time to confront his feelings. he found you sitting on your favorite bench in the park, lost in thought.

"y/n, can we talk?" he asked, sitting beside you.

"sure, what's up?" you replied, curiosity in your eyes.

"i... i think you have a crush on me," he blurted out, his face heating up the second the words left his mouth.

you just stared at him, deadpan, letting the silence stretch out. hyunjin's eyes widened as he started to realize what he'd just said, and you could see the gears turning in his head.

after a few moments, you raised an eyebrow. "hyunjin, i've been practically screaming it in your face. you're just now catching on?"

hyunjin blinked, processing your words, and then his face turned an even deeper shade of red. "wait... what? seriously?"

you shrugged, barely suppressing a smile. "yeah. thought you were just playing dumb, honestly." he ran a hand through his hair, looking both embarrassed and amused. "wow. i really am an idiot, huh?"

you chuckled, finally letting your smile break through. "a little bit, yeah. but at least you figured it out... eventually."
