The office at Savor & Spices had a strange air about it over the next few days.
Although Jeonghan and the few who knew about the situation with Hyunwoo tried to keep things under wraps, something was definitely off.
Soonyoung, Seungkwan, Vernon, Wonwoo, Jun, and Minghao had begun to sense that something wasn't quite right, and it didn't take long for them to start piecing together the clues.
Whether it was the anxious glances being exchanged between Jeonghan's close circle or the occasional cryptic comments they'd overhear, the feeling was undeniable.
Soonyoung, being his typically energetic self, was the first to voice his concerns, unable to keep the gnawing suspicion to himself.
"I don't know about you guys,"
Soonyoung said one afternoon as the group gathered in the break room.
"But something's going on with Jeonghan hyung. Have you seen the way Mingyu and Jihoon have been acting around him? They're all nervous."
Seungkwan, always the one to notice small details, nodded.
"I've seen it too. He's been really quiet lately, and that's not like him. And I'm telling you, the other day, Joshua hyung tried to change the subject when I asked him if Jeonghan hyung was okay."
Vernon, leaning against the counter with his arms crossed, raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, I thought something was up when Jihoon hyung left that meeting early to talk to sir, then came back looking super stressed. You think it's work-related?"
"Maybe,"
Wonwoo added, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose.
"But I doubt it. The company's been doing well, and if it were just work, sir would have addressed it by now."
Jun, who had been quietly listening, finally spoke up.
"There's definitely more to it. Minghao and I have been noticing that Jeonghan hyung has been avoiding certain conversations. He's been distant, like he's dealing with something serious but doesn't want anyone to know."
Minghao, who sat beside Jun, nodded thoughtfully.
"I think he's trying to keep it private, but whatever it is, it's clearly bothering him. And if the others, Joshua hyung, Jihoon hyung, Mingyu, Seokmin, and sir are in on it, then it's got to be important."
"So what do we do?"
Soonyoung asked, his brow furrowed in concern.
"We can't just ignore it if he's in trouble."
Seungkwan chimed in, his voice more serious than usual.
"I don't want to pry, but I think we should talk to him. We're his friends, if something's wrong, we need to be there for him."
