With each passing day, Seungcheol's attempts to win over Jeonghan grew more obvious to everyone in the office. Unfortunately for him, Jeonghan was completely clueless.

Seungcheol found himself stuck in this frustrating cycle of dropping hints and trying to create moments where he could subtly express his feelings, only for Jeonghan to either misinterpret them or, worse, not notice them at all.

It started small, bringing Jeonghan coffee, offering to help with minor HR issues that didn't really require the CEO's attention, or simply hanging around Jeonghan's office more than necessary.

But now, Seungcheol felt like he was escalating his efforts, practically screaming his feelings with every action, yet somehow Jeonghan remained in the dark.

For months now, Seungcheol had been trying to subtly, sometimes not-so-subtly, drop hints that he was interested in Jeonghan as more than just his HR Head.

It started with simple things.

A cup of coffee left on Jeonghan's desk when he arrived at work.

Invitations to dinner that Seungcheol would frame as discussions about company policy or brainstorming sessions, though they often ended up just being the two of them talking about their personal lives.

Seungcheol even found himself lingering near Jeonghan's office far more than necessary, making excuses to drop by and ask pointless questions.

"Hey, Jeonghan,"

Seungcheol had asked one day, leaning against the doorway of the HR office.

"Do you think the lighting in this office is too harsh? Maybe we should get it changed."

Jeonghan had looked up from his computer, blinking.

"The lighting?"

He echoed, clearly confused.

"I think it's fine, Seungcheol."

"Right, right,"

Seungcheol mumbled, realizing how ridiculous he sounded.

"I just thought maybe it was... I don't know, distracting."

Jeonghan's eyes narrowed as if he was trying to figure out if Seungcheol was playing some kind of prank on him.

"Distracting? It's fluorescent light. I'm not sure what's distracting about that."

Seungcheol had nodded, embarrassed.

"Yeah, you're right. Never mind."

And so it went on like that. Seungcheol would try to drop hints, to signal his interest, but each time, Jeonghan seemed either completely unaware or just disinterested.

And while Seungcheol tried to convince himself that Jeonghan was just oblivious and not rejecting him outright, it became harder to keep up the facade when his advances seemed to go unnoticed.
