Back at the jailhouse, Marty got to Doc's jail cell.
Marty whispered, "Okay, Doc, I'm going to get you out of there!" Marty grabbed up the drill, putting it in front of his chest, turning the crank. He complained, "C'mon, start. Don't be like the De Lorean..."
The drill started as he turned a red knob. The drill's rockets went forward and Marty went to work trying to get the wall to break. Something gave way as the drill went to pieces. The paper Marty handed to Doc earlier had fallen out.
"Mr. Coleone!" It was Edna. Marty turned to her. She added, "You're too late!"
Marty repeated, "Too late? But Doc's not supposed to be..." That's when he saw the police wagon go by him. He cried out, "Doc!"
Edna explained, "They're moving him to another facility! For safekeeping!" Edna brought out her notes, "Oh! I'd better go get a quote from the police chef!"
With that, she went inside of the police station. Marty picked up the paper, seeing the headline was changing.
Marty read, "Paddy-wagon intercepted. Suspect Slain." He perked up, "Then they're still after him!" That's when he looked at the destroyed rocket powered drill. He wondered, "How do I save him now...?" He picked up the rocket part, which was still in one piece. Then he went over to Edna's bike. He attached the rocket to the bike, got on, and turned on the rocket. He promised, "Alright, I'm coming to save you, Doc. For both of our sakes."
The rocket bike took off, Marty screaming at the top of his lungs.
...
When the rocket bike finally caught up to the police wagon, it had just passed a small gas station. The rocket bike collided into the back of the police wagon, making Marty grab onto it. The bike was stuck in the bumper of the wagon.
Doc saw him and cried out, "Marty!"
Marty shouted, "You're still in danger, Doc! I've gotta get you out of here!"
Doc asked, "What's that?"
Marty started to say, "I said, you're still..."
Doc cut him off, "Never mind, never mind! Get me out of here and we'll talk later!"
Marty went right, grabbing the antenna off the roof. He then got the tire iron out of the toolbox. Marty went back to where Doc was before he decided to go left. There was the spare tire. Marty took out the tire iron and got the spare tire loose. Marty wound up losing both the spare tire and the tire iron. The only thing he had was the hubcap. Marty went up to the driver's window, seeing Kid Tannen there. Marty thought, 'What is he doing there?' Marty saw the keys for the lock on the dash.
He said, "The keys! But how do I get them?" Marty decided to go back to Doc, "The keys are on the dashboard but I can't reach them!"
Doc replied, "You need a protraction appurtenance!"
Marty demanded, "English, Doc!"
Doc responded, "A reach extender!"
Marty stated, "Kid Tannen is driving!"
Doc exclaimed, "Kid Tannen! That explains a lot!"
Marty said, "I need a distraction!"
Doc reassured, "Leave it to me!" Doc walked over to the window between the driver and the back. Doc shouted, "Hey! Hey driver!"
Kid opened the window as Doc insulted him on his driving. Marty took out the antenna that he had and reached for the keys. Marty struggled a bit but when he finally got them, Kid turned his head.
Kid huffed, "You!"
That's when the gangster punched the youngest McFly. Marty was about to fall off but the scientist grabbed him quick.
Marty breathed a sigh of relief, "Whew! Thanks Doc! Thanks for Annie too! I guess that's why they called you The Streak!"
Doc did a double take, "How did you know that?"
Marty laughed, "I have my sources."
Marty went to the back, unlocking the door. He lost his balance and wound up on the bike. Doc was trying to catch him again but missed and wound up stretched between the bike and the wagon. Kid got his gun out and started to take shots at them. Marty took out the hubcap, throwing it at Kid's gun.
Kid dropped his gun, swearing in pain, "Son of a bitch!"
Marty climbed into the wagon, over Doc, and grabbed Kid's gun. He aimed it at the shackles, setting Doc's feet free. Marty grabbed his feet rather quickly. Doc screamed a bit.
Doc asked, "This is a rescue?!"
Marty admitted, "Annie probably thought of a better one, that's for sure! But yeah, that's the idea! Hit the throttle!"
Doc understood as he stretched himself to the rocket bike. He grabbed the throttle, making the rocket bike go forward into the wagon. The crash shook the wagon, making Kid swerve off the road. Doc and Marty got back on the bike, taking off again. Kid wound up crashing the wagon into a manure truck.
Kid screamed, "OH SHIT!" Right as he turned the wheel and crashed into it.
Doc laughed, "I never get tired of that."
Marty laughed too, "Yeah, me either!"
The two friends crashed right behind the Car of the Future sign, where the De Lorean was located.
Marty got to his feet, "Doc?! Are you alright?"
Doc slowly got to his feet, "Yes, I'm okay... I'm not as young as I used to be. But I do wonder what sort of bizarre repercussions my younger self's invention of a flying bicycle will have on the timeline."
That's when the rockets started to act strangely and blew up in front of them.
Marty perked up, "Did you know that would happen?"
Doc admitted, "I had a suspicion. I never could keep those rockets from exploding..."
Marty asked, "So, what do we do now?"
Doc got the De Lorean open, "Now we get back to 1986 before Annie gets too worried. And before our interactions with the past inevitably cascade into a calamitous future!"
Marty replied, "You had me at 'get back to 1986 before Annie gets too worried'."
Doc asked, "Where'd you leave Einstein?"
Marty knelt over and started to say, "Uh Doc...?"
Doc didn't get his friend's distress and replied, "He's not in the pound, is he?"
Marty looked at his hand as it started to fade out of existence. He admitted, "No, I think we have a bigger problem..."
That's when Doc finally noticed that Marty was starting to fade out.
He stated, "Great Scott!"
