Tuesday had slowly rolled around. Celestial hadn't spoken much to Mr. Todd. In fact, he avoided conversing with her at all. She would catch him gandering over to her from time to time, but she never confronted him about it. He was far too intimidating.

Celestial was upstairs, sweeping around Mr. Todd's new barber shop, per Mrs. Lovett's request, and Sweeney's reluctant acceptance. Nellie was sat on an old chair that she brought up, while Mr. Todd stood, gazing out the window, his eyes flickering every so often down to the razor he was sharpening in his hands.

"It's not much of a chair, but it'll do." Nellie began sharing, but it was as if she was talking to a brick wall, since Mr. Todd wasn't showing much interest in what she had to say. "It was me poor Albert's chair. Sit in it all day long he did, after his leg gave out with the gout."

"Why doesn't the Beadle come? "Before the week is out," that's what he said." Mr. Todd worriedly spoke, ignorant to what Nellie was saying. Celestial glanced up, as she continued sweeping. She wondered why Mr. Todd was so desperate for the Beadle to arrive at his shop.

"Well, who says the week's out? It's only Tuesday." Nellie assured, causing Mr. Todd to spin around, rage filling his chest, as he threw his knife down and stormed away over to the broken mirror, causing Celestial to flinch from the loud banging noise.

"Easy now, love. Don't distress yourself." Nellie stood up to follow him. Nellie turned around to Celestial, clearing her throat, putting on a bright smile. "You've worked yourself to the bone today, love. Why don't you go pop out, eh? See if you can get some nice veggies from the markets." Nellie suggested, not wanting Celestial to hear their private discussion.

Celestial narrowed her eyes in suspicion, before slowly nodding in agreement. She set down her brush in the corner of the room, before walking out, the bell ringing, as Mr. Todd watched her exit his establishment.

Celestial walked down to the pie shop, grabbed her black coat and threw it on. She was frustrated with being left in the dark. Why couldn't she know what was going on? Did they think she was just some silly little girl, too immature to handle whatever they were talking about? Or did they just not trust her. Either way, as irritated as it made her, she didn't want to argue. Nellie had been generous enough to give her a job and accommodation, she would hate to come off ungrateful, she was just dreadfully nosey.

The markets were as busy as they usually were. People walking up and down, mothers scolding their children, people buying groceries, and a beggar woman, prowling up and down the streets, asking for money.

Celestial picked up a tomato, turning it around in her hand, examining it closely, feeling how ripe it was in her hand. She frowned and placed it down, picking up a different one, and repeating the same process.

"We meet again." Celestial jumps out of her skin, as she gasped and turned around to meet the voice of the same boy she met the other day. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you." He apologised, chuckling, along with Celeste.
