Abby was the only one remaining at the bakery. The others left but she was still waiting for what exactly...she didn't know.
'Just one person to make it the twentieth person and then I'm off',she thought to herself and yawned.
There was flour on her forehead and she looked really exhausted but she just wanted to wait for the twentieth person before leaving.Adrian yawned again.
'You really have to go home',his inner self screeched.
He packed the documents he needed to review for the next day and kept it inside his suitcase. He already told his driver to leave so he drove himself.
'A good coffee could really be useful since I still have work to do',He muttered. After driving for almost an hour,he sighted a hommie bakery and smiled inwardly. He parked his car and made his way towards the bakery.
Abby yawned again for the upteenth time....her eyes lit immediately she saw a man coming in.
'"And...twenty",she grinned crazily."May I take your order sir",she asked curtly.Adrian came into view and she gawked slightly at the sight before her.She covered it quickly with a smile and took her notepad walking towards him.
"I'll like a cup of frappuccino and any good bread, can you make the coffee?", Adrian asked impatient.
"Of course,I make very good coffee of all types",Abby assured him.
"Get it ready real quick,I don't have time to waste",Adrien replied rather rudely.
As Abby went to get it ready, Adrien watched her go and realized she was actually beautiful.
'focus you fool, women are not in your plans for now,you still haven't healed yunno',his subconscious yelled at him and he composed himself.
Twenty minutes later,Abby returned with the coffee and bread.Adrian who was walking around checking the environment and Abby who was tired, clashed into each other causing the coffee to spill on them both, most especially Adrian.
"Watch where you are going",he snapped at her,his voice laced with annoyance.Abby, surprised and exhausted muttered an apology.
Thankfully, she made extra so she packed that one instead.Adrian begrudgingly paid for the coffee and bread and left, still fuming with anger.Amongst the commotion,a silver locket dropped from his pocket but he didn't noticed.Abby was cleaning up when she saw it.She was angry at him but still kept it just in case. She finished cleaning and took a cab to Kithara's place where they had a sleepover.
Adrian, back at his own mansion realized he had lost something. He searched his pocket frantically and his suitcase just in case but found them not containing what he was looking for.'shit'he muttered to himself.
His anger flared up again, blaming Abby for the loss.He took another sip of his coffee however, and realized it was really good-exactly the way he wanted it.It was smooth and flavorful. He had never even noticed the bakery before.'This is the only good thing that happened from my encounter with that tired and clumsy baker',he reasoned.
As he stared at the empty spot where his locket would have been, his frustration simmered, leaving him with a nagging suspicion that perhaps he was being too hard on the young lady.Kithara opened the door and pulled Abby in for a bear hug.Abby felt really comforted by the hug and leaned in closer to her. After settling down, she recounted what happened at the cafe to Kithara.
"He was lucky I wasn't around.I would have kicked his balls",she rolled her eyes."Heyyy",Abby countered,"He is good looking so we can let that slip",to which they both laughed.
"By the way",Kithara mentioned,"How's the job hunting going?"
"I dunno yet,but I'm definitely going to apply to more companies".
"Kingston and co should be vacant, you know they got a new hot CEO today and he fired two directors",kithara continued.
"Seriously, how did you know about that ?",I asked eyes wide opened.
"Well.....I have ears everywhere and I heard people talking about it too.You should apply because you're fit for it".
"Awwwwn",I cooed "I'll definitely apply this night".
"You have a weird way of saying thank you, anyways you're welcome my darling",Kithara smiled at me.
I just grin at her while searching for the company's website to apply after I saw the vacacy.I was really ecstatic that I slept happily tucking the locket into my pockets.Strangely enough,I dreamed about the cold but handsome guy.
