My Perfect Love.

Chapter sixteen.

       Kithara drove Abby to her office that morning;she was with Roshan's car as he went to Canada for a meeting.

       "Let's hang out after work today",she told Abby while winding down the window.
  
       "I can't promise yet,but I'll text you after I'm done",Abby replied blowing her a kiss.
 
        Kithara smiled and drove off.Almost immediately her phone rang,she checked the id and it was her mom.It's been ages she called and she wondered why she was calling her.

       Abby entered the building and got straight to work.Raquel wasn't around:she took a sick leave so Abby was left with Neil and Andrew.She made arrangements to visit her after work.

      The telephone on her desk rang and she picked it up.

          "I need you in my office ", Adrian's voice came through.For some unknown reasons Abby felt butterflies in her stomach.She took a glass of cold water and drank hurriedly before rushing to his office.

        "Good morning,sir.You called for me",she said.

        "Good morning Abby,How was your night?", Adrian asked her.

     Abby was shocked.Adrian was asking her about her night.
  
       'Am I dreaming ',she thought.

     "You aren't dreaming Abby,I asked you about your night",Adrian said amused.

    "Ohhhh,sorry,I didn't know I said that out loud.My night was good,thank you.I hope yours was too",she said all in one breath.

       Adrian chuckled.

       'Has she always been this cute while rambling?',he thought.
 
         Adrian paused to look at her.Abby was a beautiful lady,no doubt about that.Her eyes twinkled as if the stars were in them.

Abby shifted uncomfortably balancing her weight on both feet.Adrian was staring at her,his blue eyes were as if penetrating into her.She liked his eyes.It reminded her of the sea.

     She cleared her throat and Adrian stopped staring.He got up instead taking slow strides towards Abby.Abby was confused and on instinct moved back but Adrian didn't stop and continued walking towards her.Just as he expected, Abby's back met with the wall and she was trapped.

    Adrian leaned down and hugged Abby who was in a state of shock.

      "Thanks for the other day,I really appreciate it",he said.

   Abby was skeptical for a moment but soon hugged him back.
  
       "It was nothing boss,but you are welcome".

Adrian released her from the hug and looked deep into her eyes.

    "Call me Adrian whenever we're alone or outside the office",he told her.

    "Wouldn't that be unprofessional seeing you're my boss",Abby asked.

     "I promise you it isn't, besides I asked you to call me that.Boss makes me feel old",Adrian said.

    "Okay sir....Adrian",Abby said shyly.

    Adrian chuckled and went back to his seat.They talked about business proposals for some time and after that Adrian dismissed her.

    Abby got to her seat and went to grab a cup of coffee.She really needed it.

      'whatever happened in Adrian's office now....I know you like it,her subconscious said.

     'it just feels strange to me....but then he just thanked me, nothing much'.
