The morning sun, streaming through the window, painted stripes of warmth across Abby's face. She yawned, her eyelids still heavy with sleep, and a lazy smile spread across her lips as she looked over at Kithara. Her best friend was still fast asleep, her hair a mess of silken curls on the pillow and her chest rising and falling rhythmically.
Abby however, was already buzzing with energy. It was her day off from the bakery and she thought of surprising Kithara by making breakfast.Abby rarely cooked but she made delicious meals. After about an hour, she gently nudged kithara awake, whispering "wakey wakey, sleepy head. It's time for Abby's specials".
Kithara grumbled softly, turning to her side, but the smell of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling bacon was enough to coax her out of bed.
"You made breakfast?",Kithara asked with eyes wide opened.
"Yes, darling",Abby replied grinning.Kithara rushed to brush her teeth and ran crazily to the dinning where breakfast was set.'wow',she muttered. They sat together, enjoying the warmth of the morning, chatting while munching their breakfast.
"That was amazing", Kithara praised.
"I know right",Abby smirked at her.
Just as Abby was about to leave,a notification popped up on her phone. It was an email from Kingston and co.Abby's heart skipped a beat as she read the email,a wave of nervous excitement washing over her.To her surprise, they were inviting her for an interview the very next day."Kithara!",Abby called out, her voice brimming with excitement,"guess what?I got an interview at Kingston and co tomorrow".
Kithara beamed at her,her eye twinkling with pride."That's wonderful darling! I knew you'd do it.You're so smart and capable, and you have a real passion for work".
Abby's heart swelled with warmth, she hadn't gotten the job yet and kithara was already praising her like this. Her unwavering support was a constant source of strength for her.
"I love you Kithara",she said emotional.
"You have to of course, you don't have a choice,it's either you love me or you love me", Kithara smiled at her,"I love you too Abby",she replied.Abby couldn't wait to enter the house before sharing the news with her grandmother.
"Grandma!, I'm going for an interview tomorrow ",she grinned excitedly.
"Wow,I'm happy for you dewdrop ",her grandmother took her into a warm embrace.
"We're gonna celebrate tonight according to kithara. She would also be introducing her boyfriend to us granny", Abby said all in one breath.
"That's really amazing,let's get cooking".
Later that evening,Kithara and her boyfriend, Roshan, came visiting. He was a tall, handsome man with a warm smile and a playful twinkle in his eyes.He was smitten instantly by Abby's grandmother, who in turn, adored him.
"Roshan,it's so nice to meet you",Abby said, her voice full of warmth."Kithara has told me so much about you and don't worry, they are all good",she smiled.Roshan blushed, his smile widening,"it's a pleasure to meet you too Abigail,Kithara is so lucky to have you".
"You can call me Abby, we're close now", Abby said.
"Aiight,Abby",Roshan replied still smiling.
Kithara, watching the exchange between Roshan and her bestie, felt a sense of contentment wash over her.She was happy that they were getting along.Abby could sense that Kithara was so happy with Roshan. She knew their relationship was going to be something special.
To celebrate,Kithara brought a bottle of champagne, but Abby only has a small sip,she was determined to be her best for the interview the next day.Kithara squeezed her hand,"you'll do great,Abby. You're brilliant and you have a natural talent for this kind of work.Juat be yourself tomorrow and don't worry about anything else".Abby nodded tearfully, pulling her in for a big hug.

The alarm clock blared, jolting Abby awake. She got out of bed and headed to the bathroom taking a long, hot shower to wash away any lingering sleepiness.
As she got dressed, she carefully selected her outfit. She chose a sleek navy blue pantsuit, the fabric smooth and crisp against her skin. The jacket was tailored to perfection, highlighting her curves, while the trousers flowed effortlessly down her legs, giving her a confident and professional air.She paired the suit with a crisp white blouse, and a pair of classic black pumps, the heels clicking softly against the hardwood floor.
She styled her hair in a simple get elegant updo, pulling her dark brown hair back from her face to showcase her sharp cheekbones and piercing green eyes.A touch of light make-up, enhancing her features without being overdone, completed her look. She felt a surge of confidence, she was ready.
Abby arrived at Kingston and co.,a sleek glass tower that mirrored the ambition and dynamism of the company itself. The air inside was buzzing with activity,Abby took a deep breath, and checked in at the reception desk.
After a short wait, her name was called. She followed the receptionist and soon enough came to a spacious office.Seated behind a large mahogany desk was a man whom she recognized immediately.
'That rude, handsome coffee guy'.
On the desk.she saw his nameplate 'ADRIAN KINGSTON' and underneath it was 'CEO'.She was shocked but covered it up.Adrian, however did not seem to recognize her.His eyes, sharp and calculating, were fixed on her with an air of detached curiosity.
"Miss Abby",he said,his voice deep and resonant."Please,have a seat".'why does she look familiar',he thought.
Abby sat opposite him,her hand clasped in her lap.He asked her series of strategic questions and tested her knowledge of market trends, branding, advertising and her ability to think critically and creatively.Abby in turn answered with confidence and clarity. She met his questions head-on,her voice calm and articulate.
Adrian listened intently,it was impossible to tell what he was thinking. After what felt like an eternity,he leaned back in his chair, his expression softening slightly.
"Miss Abby,I'm impressed, you're hired. You can start on Monday".
Abby was ecstatic. She thanked him and skipped happily out of his office.Adrian watched her go and smiled unknowingly.
'what's wrong with me?,why am I smiling like that?',he asked himself while he got up for a cup of cold water.
