The silence of the night gradually gave way to the soft light of the approaching morning as Beomgyu and Yeonjun made their way to the city. The forest around them was still shrouded in twilight, and the ground was damp from the night's rain shower. The quiet rustling of leaves and the chirping of crickets accompanied their steps through the wetness. The trees around them cast dark silhouettes against the rising sky, which glowed in a somber gray. The air smelled of fresh rain and earth, while the birds began their morning songs.

Eventually, Beomgyu and Yeonjun emerged from the forest and entered the city district. The twilight bathed the streets in a mysterious atmosphere as they wandered through the alleys. The city lights shimmered dimly in the distance, and the outlines of buildings became gradually clearer. The silence of the city, still asleep, was broken only by their soft footsteps. A gentle breeze carried the scent of damp asphalt and pushed them forward.

"Yeonjun," Beomgyu began hesitantly, choosing his words carefully, "I don't know much about you. And if we're going to work together in this situation, maybe we should get to know each other better." His expression was serious, but there was also a trace of curiosity in his eyes. He thought about how he usually collected his food rations with Soobin or Taehyun. He had always had a deep trust in both of them.

But as the words collided with his thoughts, the young man paused and simply looked at Yeonjun.

"Or just tell me where you live? Why are you still here looking for food? You could just go home."

Slightly startled, Yeonjun took a breath. "I can't," he immediately blurted out, shaking his head. He had dressed in dry clothes like Beomgyu and wore a black, warm jacket over his black-and-red striped hoodie. The pants, which were much too big for him, were cinched with a belt, and he generally felt better: warmer and drier. "Uh," he scratched his head, "I ran away from home; I can't go back."

"Sweet," Beomgyu smirked, continuing his walk. "Another runaway. Should I help you find a place to stay? Teach you how to survive on the streets?"

Thoughtfully, Yeonjun walked beside him, his steps becoming more deliberate as he looked around. "Well, actually..." he hesitated, but Beomgyu's suggestion unsettled him. They wandered through the streets of Solitaria, searching for food.

"I'm looking for my dog. He disappeared a while ago, without a trace."

It was immediately clear that the bond between the young man and his furry companion was exceptionally strong. He had left his familiar home without hesitation to search for him— a sign of the deep connection between man and animal. This realization piqued Beomgyu's interest.

"A dog?" he asked. "What does he look like?"

Yeonjun looked up as he was asked about his dog, as if glancing at the sky to recall the memory of his faithful companion, Shadow. A gentle smile flickered across his face as he described his animal friend. "Shadow is impressively large. He has thick fur in shades of gray and brown, almost like the colors of a cozy scarf. His eyes are amber, really clear and beautiful," his voice grew softer. "A typical wolfdog, really. Barks loudly, is intelligent and loyal."
