Beomgyu felt the reality slowly catching up with him as he noticed the worried looks of his friends after he opened his eyes. The atmosphere in his room was tense as Soobin, Taehyun, and Kai watched him closely. Koda lay quietly in front of the mattress at his feet, but his eyes revealed that he was also worried about Beomgyu.

"How do you feel?" Taehyun asked cautiously, while Soobin and Kai waited eagerly for a reaction.

The room was filled with a muted moonlight that fell through the windows, and the air felt heavy from the events of the recent earthquake. Beomgyu rubbed his eyes and slowly sat up. His gaze wandered through the room as if he were searching for confirmation that everything was normal again. "What happened?" he asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

"A earthquake, again," said Kai, pressing his thin lips together. In his hand, he held a fidget toy that he was playing with. He needed something to rein in his nervousness. "But Tae saved you after I almost blew up the factory."

"It wasn't that bad after all," grumbled Soobin, "the earthquake nearly blew up the factory, not your scream."

Taehyun's mouth corners twitched slightly before he encouragingly patted the youngest on the shoulder. That he felt guilty was all too understandable, especially because of his past. But no one would blame him.

Certainly not Beomgyu.

"You were just scared. We were all scared," assured the long-haired one, touching his head. He felt the aftereffects of Kai's scream; it made him tired and gave him a headache. A dull throbbing behind the eyes. But a familiar pain, for Beomgyu had not received this scream for the first time. Occasionally, such accidents happened, for example when they argued, which fortunately did not occur very often. "I'm doing well." Is something broken?«

"A few cracks in the walls, a few things that have fallen down, and Kai's slot machine has shut off again," Soobin counted.

The last fact was emphasized by Kai with a heavy sigh. "I'll take care of it tomorrow," he said softly, scratching his blonde head. "For the time being, we are glad that we are not broken."

Beomgyu nodded, keeping his gaze directed at his lap.

They could be glad that nothing more had happened and that their supplies were still intact. They could deal with the chaos and disorder later. Unless another earthquake demolished their entire home. Sighing, Beomgyu wiped his face, looked up to see his friends, and said, "We'll take care of this together tomorrow. Go to bed. I can see that you have been sitting here and pondering the whole time. I'm doing well, and Koda looks healthy too."

The boys exchanged a glance as Soobin got up with a sigh. Beomgyu's room was empty, and his sleeping area seemed like an island of tranquility amidst the industrial surroundings. The mattress on which Beomgyu had just awakened lay surrounded by bare walls and the soft light that filtered through the broken window panes. The air in his room smelled of dust, and Beomgyu's personal space reflected the simplicity of their survival – a mattress on the floor, a few personal belongings on makeshift shelves, and the traces of Koda, who often slept by Beomgyu's side. "We should all catch up on sleep," said Soobin, looking at each person individually. It had been a shock that they first needed to process. Even though there was a fear that it could happen again in sleep.
