Dahlia
The deafening sound of Bella's truck signalled to me that it was time to go, with that being said, I grabbed my bag and practically jumped down the stairs before giving my dad a quick peck in the cheek and running out the door as I shouted "wish me luck!"
"Hey Dahlia" Bella said with a smile she was wearing her usual outfit, some jeans and a sweater. I decided to put a little more effort into my outfit this morning as I wanted to make a good first impression at school.
As we drove through the roads of forks that were basically being engulfed by the copious amount of trees, we talked about the quiletes and how they are literally shape shifters. "I mean c'mon it's insane! First vampires now werewolves I feel like I'm in a movie" I ranted on, Bella on the other hand was taking the situation a lot better then me "I think it's our destiny, vampire girl and wolf girl" she joked "oh my gosh bella you are so corny, and I am not a quote on quote "wolf girl" I said matter of factly. She took her hands off of the steering wheel and raised them up in the air "all right my apologi- "BELLA WATCH OUT" I scream. A bright flash blinds my vision, all my surroundings turning into a blur, a deathly pain runs up my leg, I let out a moan as I touch my head, I feel a warm substance ooze down my fingers.I sucked my teeth in pain, until I suddenly remembered what I had just been doing 10 seconds ago, "Bella?!" I groaned trying to get her attention but it only made my head hurt worse, despite that I tried again "bells?" I asked in agony "bella.." I said quietly as my eyes grew heavy until I slowly drifted in and out of consciousness.
Jacob
Today is Dahlias first day of school, I hope she doesn't have a hard time, but secretly I hope she doesn't enjoy it to much, I would do anything to see her one more time. Bella's driving her to school today in the truck, I should repair a truck for Dahlia, even though she already has one- my thought process was cut off by the vibrations in my back pocket, it was my dad ringing "Jacob, there's been an incident"
I got hot, really really hot. My body was shaking uncontrollably and my brain was pounding against my skull, immediately i ran out of my garage and into the woods I ran, and ran, and ran. Howling at the moon that was only faintly seen in the sky. Until eventually my pack found me at the Canadian border.
"JACOB" Sam said sternly, obeying my alpha I quickly turned my attention towards the pack "what are you doing out here man" embry began, i immediately growled at him "you should be with Dahlia right now" Jared said "I know i." I replied not making eye contact with any of them "we have other problems on our plate" Sam said in frustration "the Cullens are back. Alice saw Bella and Dahlia getting hurt in her vision so Edward returned and they came with him" I let out a snarl "leeches" I replied "that means Edward might be with Dahlia right now." I panicked before I immediately ran off without saying goodbye to the pack
Dahlia
"Look at her shoulder, she's been bit." I heard an unfamiliar voice say "does she know?" Another said "her mother would of told me if so" the other replied "we will have Edward check once she's awake."
I slowly opened my eyes and blinked them a couple times, the cool toned light above me was blinding and I quickly raised my hand infront of it to protect my vision, when doing so I noticed the tubes and patches attached onto my arm and looked around the room from left to right. It was a typical hospital room with blue walls and simple furniture, depressing to say the least. But thankfully I saw my dad asleep in a chair next to me but strangely nobody else. I could've sworn I just heard voices.
"Dahlia?" I heard my dads voice ask gently, I turned my head towards him "hey dad" I smiled, he sighed a sigh of relief and then started laughing "you're going to be the death of me kiddo" I laughed with him and then we embraced in a hug "I love you so much, you don't even know how worried I was" my dad began but I slowly pulled away when I saw who was at the door "I love you to, but dad could I have some privacy for a little bit" I asked "of course- who's this" my dad asked when he saw Jacob standing at the doorway "this is Jacob, my friend" I answered "well Jacob here looks eager to interrupt our time together so I'll go" dad said sarcastically, I just rolled my eyes "see ya soon you old man" I said.
Jacob was panting and sweaty he was wearing only and shirt and denim jorts, his usual outfit "you look like shit" I joked, he quickly walked over to me and stood beside me "I'm so sorry Dahlia, I wasn't there to protect you" he apologised, I smile and bring my hand towards his face "you're really hot where did you run from?" I asked "Canada" he replied, I laughed "you're crazy" he didn't laugh "Dahlia what is that on your shoulder." He asked sternly, I turned my head to see my bite mark. I quickly pulled my gowns fallen neckline over the scar and told him not to worry about it. He pulled the cloth to the side and touched the scar "I am worrying." He snapped. I didn't have the energy to scold him "vampire back in my home town, I don't know how I survived but I got home safe that night" I explained "damn leeches, I'm gonna find who did that to you" he exclaimed angrily.
"Don't do that Jacob, it's in the past and I don't want it to resurface" I told him as I looked him in the eyes. He seemed to calm down as he grabbed a chair and sat down next to me. He lay his arms on the side of my bed and we talked for what felt like hours until my dad knocked on the door "alright get out of here I want to see my daughter" Jacob quickly say up "yes sir. One more thing Dahlia, the Cullens are back in town" he said as he walked out the door.
