Detective Kaminari - KamiSero /Mystery/Thriller/

English isn't my first language. 

The microwave beeped loudly, signaling it was done. Kaminari swiftly made his way over to the microwave, opening the door, he reached in to retrieve the hot bag of popcorn, feeling the warmth against his fingertips. With the freshly made popcorn in hand, he made his way back to the cozy couch where his boyfriend Sero was patiently waiting, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips in anticipation of their movie night.

"Got it babe?"

"Yep!" Kaminari settled in comfortably next to him, slowly and very obviously snuggling up to him getting ready to watch the movie. As his head rested against his shoulder, Kaminari glanced up at the blank TV screen, furrowing his brow in confusion as he saw the TV was off.

"I thought you were looking for a movie?"

"No, I was waiting for you so we could pick it together" He planted a soft kiss on Kaminari's head, earning a giggle out of him. Sero's gaze shifted to the table before him, scanning for the remote control while a tune hummed gently on his lips. Failing to locate it, he carefully nudged Kaminari off his lap, rising from the couch to inspect his previous seating spot. Kaminari, reading his movements, mirrored his actions, each turning their heads in opposite directions, searching for the missing remote, but found no trace of it.

"Um where is the remote?"

"I have no clue"

Kaminari's expression morphed into a pout before his face lit up with a brilliant idea that suddenly dawned on him. Setting the bowl of popcorn gently on the table, he turned to his boyfriend with eyes sparkling with excitement. Sero couldn't help but let out a resigned sigh, already knowing where Kaminari was going with this.

"So, you're saying"

"no"

"That there is an item missing that we can't find"

"please"

"This calls for!"

"Denki"

"DETECTIVE KAMINARI"

Sero couldn't help but facepalm when he heard his boyfriend rushing up the stairs, likely to put on some comical detective attire inspired by the shows he had introduced him to. If he had known how this would affect his boyfriend, he would have never made him watch those detective shows. Hearing the hurried steps returning, Sero mentally facepalmed, anticipating what was to come. Sure enough, Kaminari reappeared, decked out in what could only be described as a Sherlock Holmes outfit, complete with a magnifying glass in hand, fully embracing his newfound aim at being a detective.

"Well, well, well" Kaminari walked around the room looking through the magnifying glass. "It looks as though we have a mystery to solve! A remote missing, popcorn being wasted, boyfriend time ticking slowly as we cannot find the remote. WHO DID IT!?"

Sero's initial reaction of a blank expression slowly transformed into a subtle smile as Kaminari finished speaking. Despite finding the situation a bit silly, he couldn't resist being charmed by his boyfriend's enthusiasm. Deep down, he knew that participating in this activity brought joy to Kaminari and seeing him happy was all that mattered. He loves his boyfriend, so why not play along?

"Oh, detective Kaminari! Thank goodness you are here. It seems the remote has been stolen. How will I ever watch a movie with my boyfriend now?"

Kaminari tried hard to maintain a serious expression as his boyfriend joined in, but a small, involuntary smile crept across his face, betraying his attempt to stay poker-faced. The joy of seeing his boyfriend play along was just too infectious for him to resist breaking into a smile.
