Tamaki's fingers gently glided through the strands of Mirio's hair, feeling the silky softness beneath his touch. Lost in the intimate moment, admiring its texture and sheen in the gentle sunlight streaming through the window. As Tamaki caressed Mirio's hair, he observed the peaceful rise and fall of Mirio's chest with each breath. Tamaki's eyes drifted, absorbing every detail of Mirio's face in that peaceful moment—the soft curl of his hair, the slight lift of his lashes, the beautiful tousle of his lips as he slept so soundly.

The rarity of having a lazy morning together, without the constraints of their usual work routines, made this moment even more precious to Tamaki. He cherished the days they could savor every shared minute, basking in the comfort and beauty of peaceful mornings like these. The simple act of waking up beside Mirio brought a special warmth to Tamaki's heart, a sense of contentment that filled him with gratitude. Days when neither of them had to get up early to go to work were rare. Having the same day off together was even rarer.

Tamaki wouldn't trade these days for anything, waking up as late as they want, cuddling, ordering takeout, ending it with a night full of love and lust. This is a much better life than he could ever imagine for himself. Back when they were still in high school Tamaki would panic at the thought that Mirio and him would no longer live together in the dorms. At first, he didn't want to tell Mirio anything, but in the end, Mirio found out. He told Mirio everything after he had walked in on Tamaki sobbing in his room all alone. After a long hug Mirio admitted that he felt the same way and they both promised to live together once they graduated, which they did. A year after living together and basically flirting almost every day Tamaki confessed, yes Tamaki. Mirio was so taken back because he was planning on confessing first, it didn't matter. Two years later, both are well-known professional heroes who are still living together and engaged to one another.

"Hmm"

"Morning"

Mirio gently rubbed his tired eyes, his gaze tenderly landing on his beloved who lay serenely beside him. A soft smile graced his features, "Gosh you are beautiful" he whispered. Tamaki's cheeks bloomed with a delicate blush, two years of dating and Mirio still manages to make Tamaki become flustered. "Shut up"

"But its true" Mirio sat up with his elbows, raising a hand to Tamaki's face and caressing it. Tamaki leaned into his touch humming. Gosh he loved this man.

They stayed in bed a little longer, enjoying their company, showering each other in small gently kisses. They probably would have stayed there longer if it wasn't for Mirio's stomach rumbling. They both decided that it was time to get up and eat something. Neither of them were perfect cooks but they tried, but on days off like this they'd order take-out food, including breakfast. After finishing their meal, they settled on the couch, wrapped up in each other's embrace while starting a movie. With Tamaki comfortably lying against Mirio's chest, the bag of popcorn held securely in his hands, they watched the movie. Somewhere midway through the movie, Mirio excused himself to use the bathroom. Patiently waiting for his return, Tamaki took the chance to respond to a few text messages, one particularly catching his attention from Nejire who seemed excited.

NEJI <3

'Did you set the date yet?'

'Date for what'

'Your wedding...'

Oh right. It's been three months since Mirio and him got engaged. After the engagement, they had a quick conversation about it, which, now that he thinks about it, focused more on the excitement of the moment rather than extensively planning the wedding details.

"I can't wait to say I do!"

"Yeah, me neither!"

Yeah.

Neji <3

'We haven't set a date yet'

'Still? Well, what do you have so far?'

'Nothing'

'Not even the colors'

'No, I think I'd like red'

'Did you tell Mirio?'

'no'

'Then do it'

"Who are you texting?" Mirio sat back down the couch grabbing Tamaki and sitting him on his lap again.

"Neji"

"Aw tell her I miss her"

Tamaki softly hummed; his eyes fixated on the final message that Nejire had sent. It wasn't that Tamaki didn't see how important this wedding was; quite the contrary, he understood all too well the gravity of the moment. His desire to marry Mirio surpassed any other longing, yet the idea of exchanging vows in front of a large gathering made him feel somewhat uneasy. To be honest, Tamaki thought that a private ceremony that was only between him and Mirio would be perfect and would make him truly happy.

"What's wrong?" Mirio grabbed Tamaki face kissing his nose before pressing their foreheads together. "You're making that face you make when something is bothering you"

"I thought you liked all the faces I make?" Mirio chuckled placing a kiss on Tamaki's temple.

"Of course I do, but as cute as this face is I also get worried because I know that something is worrying you"

"It's not that I'm worried just a bit scared" Tamaki played with the sleeves of his hoodie or better yet said the hoodie he stole from Mirio. Mirio patiently stayed silent during this little act of fidgeting, sensing the subtle discomfort that twitched inside Tamaki every time he tried to express his feelings.

"We haven't planned our wedding, AND that's not what worries me!" He took a deep breath before continuing. "I was just thinking about how scary its going to be to get married in front of a lot of people"

"What?" Mirio smiled before letting out a soft laugh, grabbing Tamaki with both hands on each cheek before speaking. "My love, who says we have to get married that way?"

Tamaki took a moment to reflect on Mirio's question, I guess no one really had told him that but it's what everyone expects no?

"Um... the world?"

"You are my world, and if my world doesn't want that then neither do I. Plus I already knew you wouldn't want that so I never even though about it."

Tamaki felt tears in his eyes, he should have known. Mirio knew him best of course he would have assumed that, was this the reason Tamaki was avoiding planning the wedding?

"And about us not planning the wedding yet, I guess we just been busy"

"Then let's plan it now" Tamaki laughed.

"I love you so much Tamaki Amajiki"

"I love you Mirio Togata"
