Impulse was currently facing a mirror, trying to say the words, but he just couldn't. The people who said that to him and he said to them always got hurt. He squeezed his eyes shut as flashbacks flew past his eyes.

'Just run, dear, don't look back. Me and your father will be alright!'

'Mamma? Whad habbening?' (yes, on purpose, Impy tiny boi)

'Demons and angels aren't supposed to be together, sweetie, and your father and I are in trouble, but don't you worry.'

'But-'

BANG

'Carol, we have to go!'

'Alfred? Honey, what's going on!? Did they?'

'Ye,  they found us now-'

'Dada?'

'Oh, Impulse, it's okay dear, just remember we love you'

'Luv oh too dada but wha-'

'There's no time, dear, GO'

Tears filled Impulse's eyes as he remembered their screams once the sword sliced their heads, the fear in their eyes, his little body struggling to move as he fell from heaven and found Skizz and Tango. His wings were unique, white like an angel but webbed like a demon. He held himself. He couldn't say it. Otherwise, Tango would meet the same fate as his parents. He just couldn't. Suddenly, he felt arms wrap around his waist and a head resting on his back. He stiffened slightly before the familiar voice spoke up.

"Imy? Are you okay?"

Impulse quickly tried to wipe the tears away before he was swiftly turned around and caught in the act by none other than Impulse's boyfriend... Tango Tek.

Tango had on his usual red sweater with a thick white stripe on the sleeves and a dark gray sleeveless jacket over it. His palms to his wrists were gloves, as usual, with red cloth. Tango's red eyes bore into Impulse's light brown ones, the parts of his eyes that should be white, dark red. A singular white (and very sharp) tooth poked from beneath his lip to the left side, his yellow flame hair swishing slightly from side to side, along with his thin black tail with a fire tip. Tango took Impulse's face into his clawed hands, running his thumb over his cheek to wipe away the tears.

"What's wrong." It wasn't a question. It was a statement. Impulse sighed and explained (because I'm too lazy to write Impulse explaining. I'm writing this during community in school, and I'm tired. Give me a break =P)

Tango slowly cupped Impulse's cheek, kissing his forehead. Impulse gave a relieved sigh as his headache slightly lessened. Tango pressed his forehead against Impulse's, and Impulse leaned in slightly, allowing himself to relax.

"I love you." Impulse snapped his eyes open with a panicked expression. Tango put his index finger on his lips and gave him a little 'shhhh'. Impulse blushed slightly.

"You don't have to say it back, but I assure you, I'm not going anywhere." Impulse hesitated for a second before speaking.

"I- I lov-" Impulse shivered.

"Iloveyoutoo." Tango's eyes widened slightly before he smiled and pulled Impulse into a longer kiss. Impulse relaxed into it before closing his eyes. When they finally pulled away, Tango nuzzled his cheek against Impulse's, similar to how a cat would rub against a humans, and purred slightly as Impulse nuzzled back. They both blushed before kissing again. Maybe, impulse thought as Tango's lips moved faster against his, maybe love wasn't a curse...

It was a promise.

Wo! I'm sorta proud of that one, though sorry it was so short. Also, I'm very proud of how the Scarian birthday chapter turned out! Thank you, Just-Fandom, for the request! Updates will be a bit slower than usual since usually I make these chapters on Google Docs during community in school when we have about 50 min. Of free time, but now we have to do IXL for most of the time, so I won't have that much time. I'll still do updates regularly, though. - Octune <3
