mike had just gotten off the phone with elizabeth's foster parents as she's gone missing,so he went into the living room to sapphire as they're best friends "sapph have you seen effy today?"mike asked "no why?"sapphire replied confused whilst harry tucked his face into jeff "nothings happened to her harry,i've just got her foster parents on the phone"mike reassured them "should i look for her"sapphire asked putting her phone down "no she's just a bit late for her tea,she's probably running home right now"mike said before leaving.
effy was getting chased by an old but fast man as she cut the corner her eyes laid on a mum with three kids so she quickly untied her short brown her and started to walk with them,she peaked over her shoulder to see if she lost the man "ay"he shouted starting to run which made her sprint down the road until her body slammed against the car with two sets of hands gripping on her arms she glanced to her sides seeing the old man and a police officer which made her sigh whilst she looked down.
the police officer than brought effy to the police officer "i should charge you for wasting my time cause that's what this is a waste of time"she said snappy being dragged to the desk "kid pulled a scam down at the laundrette,charge a fiver for it"the lady said placing a black bin bag on the desk "i did his washing didn't i"effy snapped back with attitude looking at her "yeah and you turned all his clothes pink"she added "there's your criminal right there not me"effy said taking out a red sock "name"the male officer asked looking at his computer whilst she stayed quiet "that's the first time she shut up since i niked her sarge"the lady stated "park her over there,give her time to think"he said whilst the lady placed me on a bench next to an older girl with straight black hair.
"not talking huh"the girl asked whilst effy looked at her then looked away "fairy princess protecting her identity"she said whilst effy tilted her head "time traveler and don't wanna mess up the future"the girl said which made effy let out a small laugh "or messed up kid worried about what her parents would say"she said raising her eye brows "if i told ya i was a fairy princess i'd have to kill ya"effy said moving her hand across her neck which made the girl laugh "understood"she replied "so let's go with messed up kid with foster parents"effy added looking at her
"ouch don't get me started"the girl said placing her elbow on top of the bench "you too?"effy asked scrunching her eyebrows "i'm kind of here cause i wrote a book about it"the girl replied squinting her eyes "they arrested you cause you wrote a book,how bad was your book"effy asked which made the girl scoff "cost you six ninety nine to find out"the girl added
"you might as well tell them your name,their gonna find out sooner or later it's better if it comes from you"the girl said after a minute of silence "yeah,i was just trying to by some time"effy said before getting up "elizabeth but you can call me effy"effy whispered holding out her hand "tracy"the girl whispered back shaking her hand,effy then made her way to the front desk "you know what,cause your a fun guy i decided to tell you my name"effy said with a smirk whilst she placed her arms on the desk.
after a while of waiting mike came to pick effy up,"effy" mike said wiggling his finger "how many times do i have to pick you up from places like this"mike asked all serious "i don't know,if there's a limit tell me cause they'll have to arrange it for someone else"effy replied with a small giggle rubbing her hands "i don't think it's funny you've been arrested"mike added "her foster parents with be getting a notice to pay the money for the clothes"the female officer said before walking away
"come on then effy,time to face to music"mike said holding her shoulder as they began to walk then stopped "tracy"mike said shocked whilst effy looked at him confused.
they then began to talk about a woman named cam and a book but effy wasn't paying much attention till she heard her name "see effy,you wanna get on in life maybe we could have a little less artfull dodger and a little more tracy beaker"mike said waving his hands around "i'm like tracy,we both got niked"effy said with a big smile before brushing past them,whilst they walked outside mike and tracy talked about publishing her book with cams money until they were stopped by effy leaning against a police car "so mike,i think i better stick to the artfull dodger thing for now what do you reckon"effy asked whilst tracy laughed "no?"she added as mike stayed silent before he started to walk away tracy placed her hand on effy's shoulder whilst they began to catch up to mike.
