"it's a bird it's a plane oh i have no idea"steve (lily's dad) said unpacking emma's things (effy's mum) as she was moving in with their unborn baby "that is a rubber glove holder,i use it to hang my necklaces on"emma replied smiling "that'd suit you lily"emma added handing her a necklace "yeah"lily replied putting it down "you've got a snow globe"lily added "oh yeah it spins round and it's musical check this out"emma replied going to grab it when she knocked over a picture of lily,poppy and rosie.
"sorry"she said softly "it's broken"lily replied picking it up "it was an accident lil"steve said tilting his head "i'll get you a new frame"emma added whilst lily put the picture on top of the fridge "what is this"lily asked unpacking a cat bowl "it's wilbur's"emma replied softly "he's not living here too,he can't shadow hates cats"lily snapped back "we don't actually know that"steve said softly "of course she does she's a dog all dogs hate cats or are you sending her back to the dog home,is that the plan?"lily asked.
"no"emma said softly shaking her head "why not you're changing everything else"lily snapped back "hey,don't be like this lil,you knew emma was moving in"steve said softly "this is not moving in,this is taking over"lily replied "where you going"steve asked "to get some space like you care i can't think in all her junk"lily replied before leaving with shadow.
"i thought you liked emma"tee asked as carmen,lily and tee went to Carmen's room "doesn't mean i want to live with her"lily replied "wait doesn't that mean effy's your step sister as emma's her mum wouldn't you want that?"carmen asked "i would"tee interrupted "course i do i love effy but emma doesn't know the way that me and dad do things"lily replied "what things?"carmen asked "she's moved all my stuff,messed up the kitchen and smashed the photo of poppy and rosie and she tried to cook tea"lily replied.
"so?"tee said confused "that's my job"lily replied "hey lily very sensible getting yourself out the way while your dad and emma make the place ship-shape"mike said walking in with gina "i'm not moving back i'm staying here"lily replied "now you know that's not really an option lily"mike added "why?"lily asked "cause you and your dad have been getting along brilliantly,your just going to get used to emma being there"gina replied.
"lily,she's really nice"tee added "you should've seen some of the boyfriends my mum dumped on me"carmen added "you must be excited about the new baby"tee asked "yay,poo and sick exciting"lily said sarcastically "lily it's happening wether you want it or not and effy will be round to help"gina replied "and she's your dads girlfriend so he's not really gonna care what you think"carmen added which made lily storm out the room.
later on mike told lily that her dad was coming round to see her as she walked in the quiet room she saw her dad and emma "what's she doing here"lily asked annoyed "she wants to talk to you too"mike replied "yeah well it's between me and my dad so.."lily added with attitude "look,i know emma living with us is going to feel strange for a while but we'll be fine a promise you"steve said before they sat down "i wasn't planning to get rid of shadow lily id never do that my old neighbour was going to keep wilbur if they didn't get along,look i'm sorry we've started out all wrong i really want this to work"emma replied.
"do you?"lily asked "yeah"emma replied softly "then don't move in"lily snapped back "what?"emma said softly tilting her head "me and dad are fine as we are,it's taken us ages to get this far and you wouldn't understand"lily added "i do"emma said as steve and her met at an ex-alchi meeting "no you don't i helped him get better it was me who did that"lily replied annoyed "yeah i know you did lil"steve said softly "but not so you could run off with her"lily snapped back.
"emma's good for me,good for us"steve said softly "what about poppy and rosie,you gave them up because you couldn't handle more kids"lily raised her voice "they were settled in with the perry's"mike added
"yeah and i've got emma now it's different"steve replied "so get poppy and rosie back and put that one into care"lily snapped back "you don't mean that"steve shook his head "why not?get it adopted now,it'll never know the difference"lily added "that's enough"steve replied "easy lily"mike added.
