effy walked into the kitchen seeing everyone surrounding a rusty old metal box that johnny couldn't get opened so she grabbed the hammer and bashed the lock "there you go"she said giving him back the hammer "what's in this thing anyway"she asked "don't know"johnny replied before he opened it revealing grenades whilst everyone stepped back "grenades i could have blown myself up"she added "i didn't know"johnny replied when harry and gus picked one up.
"it's from world war one the word grenade comes from the french for pomegranate"gus informed "what does this bit do"harry said holding up the pin without thinking twice effy grabbed the grenade throwing it in the garden before closing the door "get down"she shouted grabbing harry when it set off a massive explosion causing the house to shake.
"grenades are not toys and if you younger ones thought they were then you older ones should have had sense to tell them other wise"a man shouted "don't have a go at us just cos they're brain dead"elektra replied "how's gina"tee asked worried as gina was in the garden when the explosion went off "concussed,she was blown off her feet and hit her head"faith replied "she got off lightly then didn't she it's a miracle nobody died,fancy letting your kids play with grenades"the man asked.
"they weren't playing wit-"effy said when she got cut off "yes they were,that crater over there and your colleague off to hospital proves it"the man shouted "right you lot move back"the man added "he thought that you were a care worker"elektra whispered "so?"effy replied "you keep a tighter rein on this lot they're obviously trouble"the man added.
"what are you doing"effy asked walking in the office seeing elektra going through mikes things "looking for mikes password i can't get into his computer"elektra replied "who you calling?"elektra asking whilst effy punched in numbers "the council"effy replied "why do we need a relief care worker when we've got you"elektra said stopping her "no way i've got a party to go to so ask faith"effy replied before leaving.
elektra and faith then called a house meeting as faith agreed to fill in for gina "how long for?"carmen asked "until gina gets back"faith replied "that could be days"johnny added "of a once in a lifetime chance at freedom"elektra interrupted "no rules"jody said standing on the table "could be a laugh"frank added "i'm in"rick replied "there's supposed to be an adult in charge i'm ringing mike"gus said getting up when elektra stopped him "elektra leave him alone"tee said running over "do you want him to ruin it for all of us"elektra asked.
with no relief care worker everyone was going mad,frank and rick were blasting music which made gus cant concentrate with tyler and jody stuffing their face with chocolate biscuits lily,tee and carmen were getting ready for a party whilst effy was out with her friends getting ready for another party.
effy walked in when faith accidentally threw a bag at harry "harry"effy said whilst he ran to her before picking him up,everyone was then shouting until effy shouted "shut up"she shouted making everyone go quiet "i left for like an hour"she added when gus came storming downstairs "be quiet or ill let go"gus shouted holding a grenade "he's got a grenade"tee added.
"easy gus"effy said putting harry down before slowly walking towards him "no talking there's too much noise nothing makes sense i want it to stop"gus replied "i'm here now they'll stop"effy said softly "no they wont"gus shouted "frank turn that music off now"effy shouted before the music stopped "see everything's going to be alright"effy added "no it's not alright it's all wrong everything's wrong without mike and gina everyone's shouting and fighting"gus shouted.
"gus it's alright we've stopped"johnny added "stop talking"gus shouted "gus?"rick said behind him "go away"gus shouted "i know it's been a bit crazy today,but we'll sort it and why don't you just give me that"rick said reaching for the grenade when it slipped out gus's hand "quick come on"carmen said whilst effy picked up the grenade unsure what to do "cellar"elektra shouted before effy threw it in the cellar but nothing happened.
"why hasn't it gone off"johnny asked "must be a dud"rick replied "i'll go and see"tyler said "don't be stupid"rick said stopping him "maybe gus should go and see since it's his stupid grenade"elektra added "you could have killed us all"jody said "leave him alone can't you see he's had it"johnny replied "what if he needs a doctor"carmen suggested "hello people unexploded grenade in the cellar,you might wanna deal with that first"elektra added.
"effy be careful"tee said "shh"effy whispered before slowly opening the door "careful rick"effy said before rick looked through harry's telescope into the cellar
"can you see it?"effy asked "hold on"rick replied "grab the handle and close the door"rick added before getting up "so what do we do now"johnny asked but the only thing they could do was call the bomb squad back.
after the bomb squad left no one was arguing and effy made dinner to keep gus calm "here you go gus macaroni and cheese"effy said placing it on the table "like gina makes it with crunchy bits on the top just how you like it"tyler added "so what happens next?"rick asked "effy books a care worker"gus replied "but we've just got everything sorted it'd be a shame to give it up now"elektra said "we'll do it properly this time"lily added "no fighting"carmen added.
"no loud noise or mess"tee added "no anarchy"rick added "what's that"jody asked "everyone out for themselves"rick replied "someone has to be in charge"gus informed them "we've got someone in charge"elektra said whilst everyone looked at effy "who"gus asked "no,no way"effy replied "you're already doing it"johnny replied "yeah well maybe it's someone else's turn"effy added "but you're the best,hands up everyone who wants effy"frank asked whilst everyone put their hands up.
