The Shakespeare project went really well and oddly enough it brought me and Xoey together. It was unusual, just a few months ago we were strangers and now I was the only person in her corner. When I told Rose about everything with Xoey, she was shocked to say the least.

"The Queen Bee of Onlook High? Are you serious?"

"Yes I am serious." I assured her.

"Chris I'm all for a good story, but even this sounds a little far fetched."

"You don't have to believe me, but I'm telling you to just take a chance on her." I love Rose to bits and pieces, but she is very very very stubborn. Once she has her mind made up on someone's character it's very hard to change how she views someone.

"Fine." Rose said reluctantly.

"Great, cause she invited us to a Halloween Party in a posh neighborhood."

"Oh that's nice." I can tell Rose felt unsure about it. But I knew she would come around to Xoey just like how she did with Wayne.

That following Friday, Xoey, Rose, Wayne and I went to a Halloween store and we went shopping for a Halloween costume. It was more like Wayne got dragged along, but nonetheless he was there. Nick was kind of a grump and said,

"I don't dress up for Halloween." Xoey's response to that was,

"Okay, whatever you say Grumpy pants." He sat on a bench with his arms crossed. Almost in a puffing his chest kind of way. Xoey and Rose went further into the store and I went to him and asked,

"Is everything okay?" He rolled his eyes and said,

"No everything is not okay, how can you be friends with her?"

"Who? Xoey?"

"Yes, the person that spread those rumors about you. You know the rumors that pushed you over the edge?"

"Look she's going through a lot and she has no one in her corner." I explained.

"Is that your excuse?" He asked me.

"Well excuse me for trying to be nice."

"Christine, being nice isn't going to get you anywhere. In fact being nice is what leads to people being used as doormats." I grew frustrated with him, cause he wasn't listening to me.

"If you're gonna be that way, you can just leave. It's not enough for you that she's sorry or remorseful." He scoffed and replied,

"So you're going to willingly be nice to anyone who shows a little bit of remorse or anyone who says they're sorry?"

"At least she means it. No one else that's said sorry to me has actually meant it." I said that without even thinking, Wayne shook his head and walked out of the store.

"Shit, I shouldn't have said that." I thought to myself. Rose came out in a Harley Quinn costume and looked around for Wayne.

"Where did he go?" She asked.

"I don't know." I said annoyed. I walked away from the entrance and towards the back where the dressing rooms were.

"Well what the hell happened?" Rose said as she followed me.

"We had a fight, and I said something I shouldn't have said." I was annoyed. This reminded me of all the times Jason and I fought and how the last time we fought I saw him making out at the dance with another girl.
